Chapter 18- the unhappy ending

"ANGEL!" Stella cried as we rushed to her. "I'm.... okay...." She winced as cloudy flew to her. It seemed that some of the magic untied Cloudy. "Angel....." She sobbed as she shook her. "Oh... Cloudy..." She winced as she silently got up. The big gash on her back was gone, the dark lord was gone. He was dead. "Well... at least I killed him." Angel squeaked as everyone agreed. He was SO annoying.NOw it was back to Candie. She hadn't moved a flinch. "What.. about Candie?" I asked everyone. Yamakoshi was badly hurt. The wolves stopped nudging the heck out of him when Hikari gave a soft howl. The two large wolves rushed off to Hikari. Yamakoshi, alarmed Flew away quickly.Hikari smiled at her wolves and slowly petted them. We all turned to candie. She was still in a heap on the floor. Three claw marks were still there.Angel put her soft hand on Candie's chest. Camcam looked worried. Cloudy was sobbing and shaking Candie. Angel looked surprised. She turned to me with her soft face. "Candie is still breathing but it might take a few weeks to fully recover from this medicine." She said as felt candie's head. "What? But..."

"That phoenix claws could knock you dead. It has deadly poison in it." Angel whispered. "I've seen it happen." She whispered. "Should we take her to the hospital?" I asked her as Angel shook her head. "Well, it's best for you to let Candie stay home and you have a private doctor. We don't want candie to wake up first thing , not knowing you here." She smiled back.

"She's fine." the doctor said as everyone crowded my house. "All she need is a surgery, that's all." the doctor wisely said. She was a long haired woman with wise eyes. She wrapped the wounds with bandages and silently waved her hand over Candie. "There, she should wake up in a few minutes." She said.

We waited.

And waited.

And waited.

It was so quiet that even a feather could be heard.

Finally, there was a cough from Candie. I shot my head toward Candie as she slowly opened her eyelids. "Luna?" She asked. I burst into happy tears and hugged her tightly. "Candie.... You're..... Alive..!" I squeaked with joy like I first got Candie. She was like a stuffed animal to everyone else. But that caticorn has a fierce side.She hugged me back. "I feel so weak." She sighed as i hugged her nonstop. Everyone smiled. Angel came up with cloudy. "Candie, someone is here to see you! Luna, lower her on the ground." Angel excitedly said as I plopped Candie on the ground. In a second, Cloudy came lunging forward to Candie, sending Candie on her back . "BESTIE!!!!! YOU'RE ALIVE!" She yelled and continued to hug her. "Let.. me... get.. Up. cloudy..." Candie cringed as she fell face first on the floor. "Sorry... I'm just happy that you are alive...." Cloudy said and there was an awkward silence. "BUT I'M STILL SOOO HAPPY THAT YOU ARE STILL ALIVE!" Cloudy said and started shaking her."Alright, enough." Angel sighed as She picked up cloudy while she was shaking Candie."EEEEE!" Cloudy shrieked as Everyone started to back away."Anyways." Angel said and flipped her hair. "Does anyone want to go to go to the Hangout at the 6 guardians?" She asked as only me,Stella, and Sakura raised their hands. "Come on then." Angel gestured as she silently opened the door. The rest followed her and rushed out of the house."I wanna go..." Candie groaned as I helped her get up."I guess we can go...." I trailed off as I slowly and cautiously walked out of the door.

"Oh! LUNA!" Somebody yelled as I looked around the crowded room. "Over here!" Angel yelled. "Coming!" I said as I quickly walked over there. Somehow, she manage to get a table next to the 6 guardians. AGAIN. I quickly sat down in a huff as Candie started to reach for her first milk candy."Helloooo there." I started as everyone turned to look at me. "Hey there!" Angel responded cheerfully. "Oh wait. Where's stella?" I asked as Cloudy shoved a huge cloud in her mouth. "Sheth doing sworthfighting!" Cloudy mumbled as she swallowed the whole cloud. Angel sighed. "Yep and I do wish that Cloudy stops eating clouds, because that makes her hyper afterwards. Or should I say--" Angel said but was interrupted my a loud clang. A person flew across the room with a sword in his hand. He crashed into the hard marble walls. "Oh dear..." Angel squeaked as Stella came forward with her ninja sword. Everyone was silent. Even the countess was silent on her soft throne. The wolves were quiet too near the countess side. Finally, cloudy screamed and help up a sign said 'GO STELLA!' "YEAHHHHHHHHH STELLAAAAAAA!" Cloudy shouted, breaking the silence. She hopped around the table holding up the sign. "YEAH YEAH! THAT JERK WHO CRASHED INTO THE WALLS DESERVED A KICK IN THE BUTT!" Cloudy yelled as she evaporated a cloud dummy. "Yay!" Cloudy started to dance. So did the cloud dummy."NOw, if you don't mind cloudy dummy." She said. She cheerfully started to nom on the Cloudy dummy. IN ONE GULP! Angel looked away. Everyone looked at Cloudy. Then someone threw Milk candy at her. I looked around and saw Candie laughing. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Candie laughed as she tossed a handful of milk candy. "WHAT!?" Cloudy shouted as she tossed the milk candy back. It hit Candie in the head.

Candie was sent flying across the room and was about to crash into the walls when she appeared her wings. Not to mention that Karina was making a cat war with the other cats.

And Candie was about to crash into them.

Karina was soaring high(as usual, there's nothing exciting about that) and letting the cats make a humongous mountain. The mountain of cats were really struggling to get the milk candy. Candie just froze there, in midair with wings open, not sure what to do. Candie just didn't notice that Cloudy was behind her. "Take that!" Cloudy yelled as she grabbed candie's paw and zoomed her straight into

"AHHHH! LET GO OF MEEE!" Candie yelled in the air as Cloudy let go. Candie for some reason, stopped using her wings. So in the air, it was just a pink ball of fur hurling into the cat mountain. Candie crashed into the mountain of cats, making the cats lose their balance and flying in all sorts of directions. "MEOWWWWWW!" The all yelped as candie crashed into the cat mountain. Karina looked surprised. Once candie realized she wasn't using her wings, she appeared her wings and snatched the milk candy from Karina's hand.

Again.

"WHAT IS WITH THAT CAT?!" Karina yelled as she was left there, in midair. Cats landed on every single table. There wasn't a table with at least one cat on it. Vivian grew mad. " KARINA!!!! THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT! NOW I HAVE TO GET RID OF THESE CATS! CRYSTAL DRAGON ROAR!" She yelled as Crystal sparks were everywhere. Cats were Landing on everyone's tables. "ARGH! WHO PUT THIS CAT HERE!" I heard a man yell as he threw a iron pan at the other man, sitting right next to him. "Owwwww! What did I do wrong man?" He yelled as the other man shouted "YOU PUT A CAT ON MY TABLE!" He yelled as the man lowered the cat on the ground. "HUMPH! FURRY IRON CLUB!" He yelled and swung it at the poor guys head. After that, The whole clan turned into a kaotic cloud of dust. There was screaming and yelling everywhere. Everyone moved. Well.... Except our table. Pans were being thrown around. Stella declared a sword fight against someone. Camcam started wringing other people with her tail. Everything was out of control. The cats were yelping, the foxes were shrieking, the wolves howled. No, it wasn't hikari's or the countess wolves. Stella was jabbing at her opponent's face. There was a big cloud of dust near us. Vivian used crystal ball while riding on her majestic creepy dragon. Samuel the serpent guardian was throwing envy scales.

Lillian was throwing forest ivy.

Karina was throwing fairy energy balls.

Oliver was using feather flurry.

And Hikari was using wolf howl.

Everything was a mess.

"ALRIGHT SILENCE!" Yelled the countess as everyone froze. The wolves got up from the countess side. "Everyone sit down. " She said calmly as everyone started to go back to their Tables."She's using the Calming spell. Only zen people can do that." Angel whispered. Cloudy glumly flew back to our table. The guardians started wandering to their table. "Alright, everyone. Settle back down please." She yelled as she sat back down quietly. Then Hikari sat up strangely. Angel looked sick "This could mean something...." Angel mumbled. The clan was a low rumble of voices. Hikari sniffed the air. So did her wolves. Then after a few seconds, Hikari's eyes were wide with worry. "Master,do you smell anything suspicious? Because I do." The wolf said. Well... it looked like it. "I do smell something suspicious. It smells like rotting flesh." She whispered back to the wolves. "Deliver that message to my mother's wolves." She said in a normal tone as she gently pushed at one of her wolves in the countess direction. "You follow her too." She said to the other wolf. The wolves nodded in response as they started to slowly walk toward the countess. Their paws took perfect and quiet steps. They were swift enough that people can't possibly catch them. Their beautiful white heads were held up high. As they approach the countess, The countess wolves greeted hikari's wolves happily. One of the wolves whispered the message to the countess. As usual, Cloudy was stuffing endless clouds in her mouth. Stella was doing a sword fighting war with other men. Before the countess even had a chance to answer, the clan doors swooped open, there was a flurry of black feathers. Oliver stood up. The wolves growled fiercely. The guardians looked fierce. Stella stopped sword fighting and let her sword face the flurry of feathers. For a few seconds after the feathers cleared, there stood the Dark lord.
