Harry's POV

"I can't believe you! Playing my sister like that. How could you, Harry?"

"Ron, I didn't mean to. I tried telling her, but she wouldn't listen! Please understand, I didn't mean for any of this to happen."

My best friend stared at me in utter disgust, his little sister in the back corner of the common room crying. Hermione currently was not here. I had told her that I needed to tell Ron on my own and so she is waiting for me to come get her from the library once we're done.

"Didn't mean to? You made my sister cry! You're my best friend, the one person I am supposed to trust more than anything. I have given you everything, my friendship, my home, my family and what do I get in return? You breaking my sister's heart!" Ron yelled at me.

I could feel the tears welling up in my eyes, but I did not allow myself to cry. Not in front of Ron, not like this. Crying is a sign of weakness and it always will be.

"It's not like I wanted this!" I shouted in my defense.

"Sure, whatever. Just another way for the Savior to gain attention. That's all you've ever done." Ron said, throwing me one last disgusting look before directing his hysterical sister out of the Gryffindor common room.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Harry?" A voice called. I groaned and rolled over in my restless sleep.

"Go away." I muttered into the pillow. The last thing I wanted was to get up. I didn't sleep the whole night because every time I would fall asleep my mind would go back to the argument my best mate and I had only the night before. It played on repeat the whole night and so sleep did not come willingly.

"Harry, Hermione told me to come wake you up. You missed breakfast and classes start soon." Neville stated, standing near the edge of my bed.

I groaned again and sat up slowly. Neville handed me my glasses and I slipped them on, blinking rapidly to get rid of the blurriness. "Have you seen Ron?" I asked the boy that no longer had slumped shoulders and did not look like he was about to get hexed at any given second like he had in previous years before the war.

He pursed his lips. "No, I don't think he ever came in last night."

I sighed and rubbed my eyes before standing up. "He's really that pissed at me then." I muttered.

"Seems like it. What were you two fighting about last night? Practically the whole house heard you." Neville asked.

"I'm sorry, Neville. I don't want to talk about it. The last thing I need is to lose another friend right now." I told the boy as I grabbed my robes, now heading towards our bathroom to get changed.

"I could never hate you, Harry, but if you don't want to talk about it, then I respect that. Just know I'm always here to listen if you change your mind."

I smiled at my friend and dorm mate. "Thanks, I know. I just think I need time to process what happened. I know I'll tell you eventually. You're probably the least judgmental person I know."

Neville smiled back at me before I disappeared behind the bathroom door.

When I had finished getting ready, Neville had already left for classes. Hermione was waiting for me in the common room, my books already in her hand.

"You left them in here last night." She said after noticing I was giving her a questionable look as to how she got my school books. "I'm gonna guess things didn't go well with Ron?"
