Jacks P.O.V
I woke up in the middle of the night from a bad dream, I forgot that Jenny was right next to me.
Some how she made it better, I sat, just looking at her. Just looking at what was finally mine.
I looked over at the clock, it was 3:30 a.m and i still couldn't sleep
I stood up and untangled my body from her's.
I somehow found myself driving around my old neighborhood, looking at the familiar places that made me who I am today, places that brought Jenny and I together
I looked at the clock in my car to see that it was 5:00 in the morning, Jenny probably was wondering where i was so i decided to go back home.
when I pulled into the drive way and Jenny came racing out to my car with a worried expression on her face,
"Jack there you are!' she yelled while running to hug me.
"Haha yeah here I am but I have a surprise for you! just be ready at 7:00 and don't dress fancy, okay" I was actually really excited about our first real date together
"Alright well I have to go, my mom wants me home."
she walked over to me and pecked my lips before she got into her car.
Jennys p.o.v
when i got home, everyone was still asleep, so I went up to my room.
I haven't been home for about a week so everything feels... different in a way.
When I left my house last week, I was single and I still didn't have my 2 best friends back, well now I at least have one of my best friends back.
By the time I got back home, it was only 5:30 so I decided to go back to sleep.
I woke up and looked at the clock, it was 12:23 so I decided to get up.
I walked down stairs to see that my house was still empty.
i picked up the phone and tried to call my mom, it went straight to voicemail.I tried to call my dad even though i knew that he was probably on a plane back to california by now
"Jen?"
"yeah its me, do you know where everyone is?"
"um Jen we'll have to talk about that when i get home but for now, just stay home and don't read the news paper or watch the news okay?"
"but dad-"
"i have to go' i'll call you later. love you"
I was still going to go on my date with jack, whatever was going on couldn't be that bad, right?

it was 6 so i decided to get ready for my date.
i took a shower and curled my light brown hair, when my hair looked perfect i went to go pick out an outfit.
I decided to wear my black shorts with a galaxy tanktop with white vans, not gonna lie I think I looked pretty damn cute tbh.
By the time I got done it was 6:50. perfect time actually, since I had a good 10 minutes to wait I decided to start playing a game on my phone. before I knew it, it was 7:01 and Jack was knocking on my door.
I ran to the door and answer it to see a very cute Jack at my door.
"Wow Jen you look....amazing" he said while examining my outfit.
"You don't look to bad yourself Johnson" I said and winked at him"

"So where are we gonna go?" I asked Jack after we got into his car
"Well first off we're gonna go see a movie then we're gonna go to dinner and then we can do whatever you want after that"
"That sounds really fun actually. what movie are we gonna see?" I asked him
"I was thinking we could go see Jurassic World if you want"
"Oh that sounds great I've been dying to see that" I told him.

We finished the movie around 9:15 so we decided just to not go to dinner.
"That was such a good movie" I told him as we got in his car.
"I know right. So what do you wanna do now?"
"Well we could just go back to your house and chill for a while" I suggested
"Alright then my house it is"
And with that our conversation ended, the drive home was quiet but a good quiet. With Arctic monkeys playing in the background it was almost perfect.
When we got to his house, we immediately we down to his room where I sat on the couch and he went over to his bed.
"Do you wanna watch the office?" He asked
"Sure I love that show"
"Do you wanna come over here so you can see the TV better?" He asked
I got up and went to go sit next to him and he immediately put his arm around me while he was looking for The Office on Netflix.
Once we finally found an episode that we hadn't seen yet we started watching it.
After about 2 episodes of not talking to each other I decided to say something
"Hey Jack"
"Yeah?"
"Can I ask you something and you have to promise that you won't get mad at me?"
"Jen what's up?" The concerned look on his was almost too much to take
"When was the last time you talked to Katie?"
He sat up and turned over to look at me.
"She called me a few months ago. she was threatening me about dating you, or even being friends with you again."
"I just don't get it, why did she all of the sudden hate me? I get that what happened was pretty bad but she just hated me and didn't even give me a chance to explain myself, and the worst fucking part is that to my face she acts all sweet and happy and behind my back says all this shit about me."
"Jen what happened was an accident. you couldn't change it and you did everything you could've done to make sure she was okay."
"I know I did but it still hurts a lot."
"I'm sorry Jen, I really am. I wish I could take all the pain away but sadly, I can't."
He said and pulled me into a hug.
We sat there for a few minutes before he pulled away and put his forehead against mine
"She might be threatening us, but as long as I'm here, nothing is gonna happen, and I promise you that"
Instead of replying I leaned in and pecked his lips before I grabbed the remote and pushed play on another episode of "The Office" he put his arms around me and pulled me close to him, I could hear his heart beat and it was honestly the best feeling ever. This was how I fell asleep before waking up at 3:36 in the morning from my phone ringing. I reached for my phone and clicked the answer button
"Hello" I said without looking at the caller I.D.
"Jenny is that you?"
I could finally recognized the voice. It was the last person I expected to hear from, Katie's mom.
"Mrs. White?"
"Yes dear it's me"
"Is something wrong, did anything happen to Katie?"
"Well I'm sorry to be calling you so late but, Katie's gone. she ran away and we have no idea where she went. do you have any idea where she could've gone?"
"Well Mrs. White the only place I could think she would be going is here."
"Okay can you please call me if you hear anything please?"
"Yeah for sure"
"Okay well get back to sleep then and I'll talk to you later I guess"
"Bye Mrs. White"
"Goodbye dear"
"Who was that?" Jack asked while rubbing his eyes
"That was....katie's mom..."
He sat up looking terrified.
