Author's Note
This might be boring for some of you and it's also a sucky chapter that I whipped up last minute. It's also super short.
Marinette tugged on the latch that held her purse shut and Tikki didn't come out all excited like she normally did. She drifted up and looked kind of ashamed? What?
"Tikki, why does Adrien look like he's getting bigger," she said in her suspicious voice.
Tikki was confused on what to tell her. The truth is that the ladybug and cat miraculous are connected which is why the magic is making the situation easier by equalizing Marinette and Adrien to a common age. So Marinette would lose a year from her 13 and Adrien would gain one from his 3 until they were both the same age, 8 years old. Of course, Tikki knew she couldn't tell Marinette that Adrien is Cat noir.
"Uhm, you see the potion is devolping really weird changes. It was um created by a kwami so it affects another miraculous holder. Ummm so you are kindagonnabecome8yearsold!" she said super-breathlessly while flying-pacing back and forth.
"WHAT." Marinette shouted as she struggled to hold on the the stall walls.
"Yeeeeeeahhhhh and it's going to happen really soon too," she squeaked nervously.
Marinette steadied herself in the tiny stall. "Ok Marinette breathe.... in..... out...... in ......out," she heavily panted like she had just ran a marathon. "You got this.... just channel your calm, confident ladybug self."
"Tikki, will I last 2 days too? Also, will my mind still be the same? How do I explain this to Alya? TIKKI HELP MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!"
At this point, Marinette had broke down and was sliding on the bathroom floor with her back still touching the stall door.
"Marinette, It'll be alright. It's just two days and then this nightmare is over. Besides, your mind will be ok," she encouraged "with a liiiiitle bit of side effects"
Marinette stopped wailing long enough to ask, "What side effects?"
"Umm you might have some age outbursts"
Marinette went back to wailing (aka PANIC MODE) while the other ladies in the bathroom were silently judging the person in the last stall.
"Tikki... What am I going to do?"
