One week later...

Davina's pov

After spending a week in Florida. Me, Kol and the twins are heading to Mystic Falls and I honestly have a weird feeling in the pit of my stomach, like something's going to happen but it's probably just my nerves. I haven't heard a word from my father or anyone from Asgard other than Heimdall who sent me a brief message the other day, saying everything is being dealt with and that I don't need to worry.

As of now it is currently 6 pm, the twins are watching a movie on the mini portable DVD player. I had magically installed into the car. We had bought a car instead of renting one, so the car is ours now. "How far away are we?" I ask "about an hour and a half" he replies I nod as I place my head back against the head rest, rubbing my baby bump. "Sleep love, you're exhausted" Kol says "I can wait until we get to Mystic Falls" I respond "you've been awake since 5 this morning love. Go to sleep, I'll wake you when we arrive" he replies making me sigh. "I'm hungry though and I can't sleep if I'm hungry" I respond with a small pout "you ate on the plane and you ate at the diner before we hit the road" he says we had gotten a plane from Florida to North Carolina which is where we had bought the car and we had gotten a bite to eat. "But that was then. I'm hungry, I want a churro or just something sweet" I say giving him puppy dog eyes as he stops at a red light. "I'll stop at a take out diner and get you something" he replies "thank you. Baby and I appreciate it" I respond rubbing my stomach making him chuckle. "The things I do for you" he replies "oh shush you love me" I respond "I do" he replies placing his hand over mine making me smile as he starts driving again once the traffic light turns green.

We arrive at a small diner and Kol parks the car near the front "stay here. I'll go in and get what you want" he says "okay" I reply he turns his head to look at the twins in the back who are still awake. "Do you kids want anything?" he asks "can I have juice daddy?" Elvira asks "I'll see what I can get. Kylan do you want anything?" he asks "fries please daddy" Kylan replies "okay. I'll be right back" Kol replies giving me a kiss on the cheek before getting out the car. He heads into the diner to get food.

He returns 10 minutes later and gets in the car. "Okay here's your food. I got you, a chocolate croissant and a chocolate milkshake as I know you've been having a craving for those" he says "aw thank you" I respond giving him a kiss on the cheek as I take my croissant and milkshake from him. He smiles before turning to the kids "alright I got orange juice for you El" he says handing her a carton of orange juice after putting the straw in of course. "Thank you daddy" she replies sweetly before taking a sip "you're welcome princess" he replies "Kylan here's your fries buddy" he says handing Kylan a small bag of fries "thank you daddy" he replies before stuffing a few fries in his mouth making us chuckle. "Eat slowly baby, okay? I don't want you getting indigestion" I say "okay mommy" he replies eating slower making me smile and turn round in my seat as Kol starts up the car. I start eating my croissant as he drives away from the diner and onto the road.

1 hour and a half later....

"We're here" I say as Kol drives past the welcome to Mystic falls sign "home sweet home" he mutters, he likes Mystic falls but he doesn't like staying here too long since this is the place where he was born a thousand years ago and he's said the place is prone to attract supernatural creatures. Luckily though we've never encountered another vampire or any other supernatural creature when we've been here in the past. The only reason we come here is because it's the place we met and we've made memories here plus the twins love coming here and we have a house here. "Not as good as our real home though" I respond "you're right because our home is right here" he replies placing his hand over mine while glancing at the rear view mirror to look at the twins who are fast asleep. "Home isn't a place, home is family and the people you love" I say that is our family motto, one that we're teaching our kids to live by.
