Chapter 42

Here's a new chapter, sorry it's been a while since I've updated, I've had a really busy few weeks and I know I've been updating other stories but I haven't for this story as I'm figuring out what will happen after what occurred in the previous chapter. Anyway here's the chapter and I hope you like it.

Two days later...

Davina's pov

It's been two days since Esther kidnapped the twins in an attempt to kill them and Kol along with his siblings but she of course failed as Kol and my father and siblings came together to stop her and take her down. Kylan and Elvira were a little shaken after what happened having never been in that situation before so of course it was scary for them and so they've kind of just clung to me and Kol which is fine as at least we have them near us and know they are safe but it's also disheartening to see our babies be so frightened. They get frightened by the simplest sound now and they've slept with us in our bed for the past two nights as they've been too afraid to sleep alone in their own rooms as they're scared that the mean lady aka Esther will come back and take them away again. It breaks both mine and Kol's hearts to see them like that when usually they're so happy and bubbly and like to be off doing their own thing around the house but now they just stick by us and they haven't been talking much either. So me and Kol sat down late last night and decided we're just gonna pack up what we need and get the hell out of Mystic Falls and go to Norway where hopefully the twins will get back to their normal, happy, bubbly selves. My siblings are going to help us move to Norway. Hela is currently in Norway as we speak as she's getting a house sorted for me, Kol and the twins as Hela, Jormungdr and Fenrir are heading back to Asgard once we're in Norway as they've been requested to return except for Sleipnir who has permission to stay with us a bit longer which is nice. 

So yeah as of right now me and Kol are currently packing the twins clothes while they're sat downstairs in the living room, watching tv with Sleipnir who is minding them while we pack our stuff. My other brothers are packing whatever else me and Kol need to take with us. We don't need to take everything with us, only the important things. 

Since the dreadful day two days ago, me and Kol haven't left the house as we want to remain inside and just focus on packing our stuff.  "Okay so Hela called. She has a house sorted for you and she's arranged a private jet to take you four to Norway tonight" Jormungdr announces as he enters the room "okay, what about you guys though? Aren't you coming with us?" I ask as I fold one of Kylan's shirts "no, we're going to stay back here a few days and finish up any loose ends" he replies "what do you mean by tie up loose ends?" I ask "well apparently that witch Bonnie told her friends and Kol's siblings about what we are so we need to make them forget what they saw" he explains "she couldn't have been able to tell whether it was you and Fenrir though as you were in animal form" I point out "not Hela though and our father pretty much explained who we are right in front of Bonnie and you know we can't let them remember that. We aren't suppose to expose ourselves and if we do, we're to erase the memories of whoever sees us or knows what we are" Jormungdr explains "what of my siblings? Will they need to forget?" Kol asked "from what I've heard they're having a hard time believing any of it but we will have to erase the memory of Bonnie telling them from their minds but they will eventually learn the truth about you in time" Jormungdr replies making Kol nod "probably a good idea. I don't want them chasing me down. I don't need them poking their nose in my business right now and I don't need them knowing I'm leaving because then Nik will most likely try to get me to stay and Elijah and Rebekah will somehow try to guilt trip me to make me stay" Kol responds "not that they would succeed as at the end of the day. You're allowed to make your own decisions and you're doing a decision based on what's best for your children" my brother retorts "exactly but they won't see it that way. Nik will see it as me running away from him and they will somehow make me feel like I'm being selfish. They will never understand me, they never did in the first place and they most certainly won't now especially now that I'm married and a father" Kol responds making me sigh so I give him a comforting rub on the back making him instantly relax and flash me a smile. "I know mate, well me, Fenrir, Sleipnir and Hela will stay behind to clear up those loose ends I just mentioned and we will have this house magically disappear since you most likely won't come back here again" Jormungdr replies "too right we won't. We're moving on from this place" Kol responds as he closes a box he just finished packing. He picks up the few boxes that have already been filled and hands them to Jormungdr who has been taking boxes downstairs for us.
