HIDEOUT (Sequel to SHELTER)

"Where are they? They've been gone for three days now."

The wolves of the BTS pack were getting exceedingly worried about where the two young Alphas were.

"It's okay, Jin. They probably just couldn't find any good prey and decided to stay out," Namjoon tried easing his mate's worries.

"For three days?", Jin asked, still worried.

Yoongi shrugged. "They're fine. They're Alphas. I'm sure they know what they're doing."

"I agree. Don't worry, Jin," Hoseok gave Jin a sweet smile, knowing that Jin always worried about the members of the pack.

Jisoo's small puppy form wined in Jin's arms. Jin shushed her and started rocking the pup.

"See? Jisoo doesn't want you to worry. She knows her oppas will come back safe," Jimin spoke after not having said anything the whole conversation.

Jin smiled at him. "Okay. I'll try not to worry so much."

Hoseok was cuddled up to Yoongi with little Luhan in his arms. Inside the den was so cozy during the night. Yoongi almost closed his eyes until he heard Hoseok call his name softly.

"Yoongi?"

"What is it, babe?"

Hoseok shifted his gaze to meet his mate's. "When Luhan grows up a bit more, will you teach him how to fight?"

Yoongi was confused by the sudden question. "Do you want him to learn how to fight?"

Hoseok nodded. "I wish I had learned how to defend myself a long time ago. That way I wouldn't have stayed with EXO for so long and I would've found you sooner."

"I understand, but Luhan is an Omega. He doesn't need to learn how to defend himself. He has me and the whole BTS pack to protect him. He doesn't need to worry about learning to fight."

Hoseok was still not convinced. "But what if he ever got taken away from us? What would he do then?"

Yoongi kissed his son's head and moved to kiss his mate's lips. "Don't worry so much. Our pack is not like your old pack. He is safe here."

Hoseok kept silent after that.

"Get some sleep. Maybe Jungkook and Taehyung will be home tomorrow."

Jungkook and Taehyung returned to the camp early the next morning. Albeit, a bit hesitantly. Jungkook walked in front of Taehyung in a protective manner. Taehyung was trying to hide his obvious limp.

Namjoon looked up from playing with Jisoo and Luhan. He got up off the ground when he saw the two approaching him.

"Hey, you two are back! What took you so long?" Namjoon reached to give Taehyung a hug but stopped when Jungkook growled at him.

"Jungkook? Are you alright?", Namjoon asked worriedly.

Taehyung put a hand on his mate's arm to calm him. Once Jungkook had snapped himself out of it, he said slowly, "Um...we have something to tell you. Privately."

Namjoon frowned but nodded. "Okay, lets go into the forest."

Namjoon left the pups to play by themselves. He followed the other two Alphas outside of the camp.

"Is there something wrong? I thought you smelled a bit strange when you walked in...OH MY GOD IS THAT A MATING MARK?" Namjoon couldn't believe what he was seeing.

Taehyung blushed a deep red. "Well...that's what we wanted to tell you."

Namjoon was confused.

Jungkook looked embarrassed. "I started my rut the day we went out hunting and I couldn't hold myself back from Tae."

Namjoon nodded, still not fully understanding. "So...is Taehyung your mate now?"

Jungkook nodded. "Yeah, I bit him and now he's mine."

Namjoon slowly nodded. "Okay. This is a bit strange. I've never heard of two Alphas mating before but I'm not mad about it."

Jungkook sighed in relief. "Thank you for not kicking us out of the pack."

Namjoon was taken aback. "I would never kick you two out! Don't even think about something like that. We love you."

Jungkook's face was unreadable as if he was trying to hide his emotions.

Taehyung's eyes were watering. "We love you too. You're the best leader we could hope for."

Namjoon smiled. "I'm glad that's all cleared up. Don't worry. No one will judge you."
