Chapter 18: Questions

"Hey, Faron!" I see Xavier wave at me as I walk to 7th period.

"Hi! How have you been?" I ask as I feel my face heat up. 'God why now!?' I yell at myself.

"I've been good, thanks. I hear about what happened to Din, is she okay?" He asked with a concerning tone in his voice.

"Yeah, she's fine. Thank God she is." I respond.

"Agreed. You know, I've been wanting to ask you something, but I think it would be better if I asked you after school." He said as I could have sworn turned a tint of pink.

"Okay, whatever you want," I responded.

~Timeskip to 7th period~

"Faron, I heard that Xavier likes you back, you two should start dating," Nathan told me as I was on my phone, having free time.

"Why are you telling me this? There's already enough drama going around because of this." I respond.

"Damn, no need for the attitude. Just tell 'ya." He said, walking away.

~Timeskip to After School~

I was waiting for Xavier outside of B Hall, where he said he would be, he went to go pick up his band instrument, which was the French Horn. I already had my instrument, the Flute. For some reason, it took him longer to get his than to get mine. 

"Hey, Faron!" I hear as it snapped me from my thoughts.

"Oh. Hey Xavier! Didn't see you there. Heh." I chuckled nervously as I feel my face turning 50 shades of red.

"So, I've been thinking about this for a while now. With all of this drama that's been going on, it's made me realize something I wish I would have realized sooner." He started.

"Oh. And what is that?" I asked, tilting my head. 'I bet I look stupid right now.' I tell myself.

"I just don't know how I didn't notice it sooner, but... I-I, I like you- no. I love you. I love you for your personality. You're just so, so perfect. I don't know if you truly feel the same way, but I understand if you don't. It's fine." He said as he also turned 50 shades of red. Fireworks start going off in my head. I can't believe this is happening right now.

"I-I don't know what to say. But I will say that I f-feel the same way for you too, Xavier"

"So, w-will, you be my girlfriend?" He asked as he took my hands into his.

"Y-Yes! Of course!" I said happily. He took me in his arms and hugged me. He barries his face in the crook of my neck, as I rest my head on his shoulder. This just felt so right,

"Hey, love birds! Stop hugging or I'll report you!" A teacher ruined the moment. 'Damnit!' I say to myself.
