Since Ana had walked off to do whatever she had to do with Marlon, you had been hanging around.
You found out about the Twins, Sophie and Minne.
They had been killed by walkers about a year ago and this didn't surprise you at all. Everyone dies right?
Also you got to introduce yourself to Mitch and the others you didn't have the chance to at first. Everyone seemed nice, and trustworthy. For now.

~an hour later~
You sat at the picnic tables that sprawled out in the courtyard. Your head in your hands. Everything was hitting you all at once. New people, new place... what's gonna happen while you stay here? Were you even gonna stay here?

-flashback-
"(Y/N)... come on talk to me."
You had looked up at your father, tears welled up in your eyes. It's been a while since you and your father could even sit down and talk but now wasn't the time.. you lost everyone.
Your father looked into your sad eyes with his tired ones. "Honey.. everything is gonna be okay.." He said hopeless. He took you into a tight embrace and the only thing you could do was hold him back.. anything to keep him from drifting away in the cold wind that stung your wet cheeks. Everything, gone.

-flashback ended-

You were pulled out of your daydreaming from a couple of yells. You sat up and looked over towards the entrance of the school known as Ericsons school for troubled youth and see Marlon and Ana running out with the other girl and kid from the wreck.
You also learned their names. Clementine and AJ.

"Everyone get you're asses in gear!" Marlon yelled out as he slung his bow over his shoulder. Ana whipped out her trusty machete and they advanced towards the gate. You were confused and hadn't heard Willy yell that they have walkers on the outside and that the 'hunting party' was on its way. You ran over to the gate and grabbed Anas hand and looked at her with a confused look on your face. "What?!" She snapped at first but when she noticed it was you her face softened from an annoyed look to a reassuring one. She noticed your confusion "oh! Hey.. uhm so there's a few zeds out in the woods and the hunting party is coming back and they need our help. Blah blah blah." She said the last part with a roll of her eyes and shook her hand out of yours and walked out of the now open gates. You followed her and took out your knife and looked around, waiting for your turn to strike.

Marlon has took out a few of the walkers with his bow while Ana was slicing at their heads, knocking their heads clean off. Violet was at them with her cleaver and Clementine kicked their knees out and stabbed them right in their skull. Louis.. was that a chair leg?
You were too focused studying everyone that you didn't notice a walker sneak up on you. It grabbed you by the arm and this caused you to yelp and yank your arm away as fast as you could. It's snarls and growls threatened you. You took note of Clementines technique and kicked at its knee causing it to stumble forward. You raised your arms up and quickly brought them back down so your sharp knife could finally kill it. You huffed and kicked the dead body over and striked at a few more walkers.

"Nice one Clementine but could use a bit more finesse." Louis said as he stood by a tree that had a red marking on it. He slashed at a rope and a huge bolder came toppling down and crushed a walker. This surprised you and you mumbled out "whoa." Clementines eyes widened at this and she stood there with hands on her hips. She followed Louis's lead and cut at a few ropes and either made logs or stones crush the walkers.
You shook your head and continued to kill more walkers, you had no time to play around.

After a bit of work the hunting party finally made it back safely. Clementine had to save some other guy that came from the hunting party from a walker that he hadn't notice walking up to him and some dog named Rosie had to return the favor and save Clementine from one by knocking it over and chomping down on its head. Although Clementine seemed super scared over this dog.

"Damn.." was all you could say. You heard a faint chuckle behind you and you looked over to see Ana smiling at you while shaking her head. You turned back around and looked up at Clementine, her eyes catching yours. Your face was once again heating up.

Everyone began to make their way to the gates, you following. In a line with Louis, violet, Clementine and Ana.

"A+ for you Clementine" Louis said to her while smirking over at her. You rose an eyebrow, I mean you had missed half of their conversation. Next thing you know violet flipped Louis off and he just mocked being hurt, this caused you and the others to laugh except violet. She just scoffed and looked the other way. "I think you did pretty good violet." Clementine said "yeah pretty badass." Ana finished, this all caused violet to smirk and look over at the girls then looked away "I know." She said with that same old smirk. "You too (Y/N).." you heard Louis say. This made you look over with a yet another confused face "oh my god you're so clueless." Ana piped up, she was gesturing towards you. "What? I sometimes don't pay attention." You said as you looked at Ana, she just shrugged and shook her head and frowned "yeah.. that'll most likely get you killed." She said sadly.

You finally made it to the gates and Willy opened them up, inviting you all in.
You stepped in and let out a breath you didn't notice you were holding. You stood by the gates with your arms crossed. Everyone else was talking and you didn't want to interrupt. You weren't clueless were you? I mean you just have a lot to think about. Too much to think about.

Ana was talking to the girl that returned from the hunting party, her name was Brody. They seemed close because of their long hug they shared once back into the gates. What's their story? What's everyone's? You thought.

"Hey kid." You looked over towards the voice that was directed towards to you. You saw the one and only Louis. Tall, dark and handsome. Wait.. HANDSOME? Stop thinking like that (Y/N) you're not a pervert. You didn't notice you were staring at him and this caused him to chuckle, "you like what you see?" He asked with the hugest shit eating grin on his face. Your face was fuming. Hot as hell.
"W-What?" You asked shyly, trying to avoid eye contact.

"Ah, nevermind. Don't wanna make the new girl uncomfortable." He said, his smile softening a bit.
"By the way I'm not a kid." You huffed and managed to look at him in the eyes with an angry look. He laughed once more and ruffled your hair and walked off. You sighed and rolled your eyes and looked down. You kicked some dirt and you noticed some familiar black boots standing in front of you. You looked up and saw a tall, pale girl.. Ana. She seemed to like you because she was always talking to you.
"Watch where you're kicking that." She pointed to the ground, gesturing towards the dirt, "might get into someone's eye, blind them. Y'know?" She said with a slight smirk on her face. "No I don't know.. unless there's some reaaaaally short people here." You said. She laughed and gestured towards violet that was sitting on the schools walls "she's pretty small." Ana said with a soft smile then she looked back at Brody who was silently watching her close friend and you with a slight annoyed look on her face ,"she's pretty small too." You laughed and uncrossed your arms. "My bad chief. I'll make sure not to kick anymore dirt around." You said sarcastically. "Chief?" She said with a raised eyebrow and a huge smirk on her face. "Oh shut up!" You said and swatted at her and walked off towards the dorms and your assigned dorm. Ana watched you walk off and and she laughed to herself and shook her head.. she seemed to do that a lot, like she was judging you but not really.

God it's been a long day..

You got to your dorm. The room was the same as every other room. Bunk beds, dresser, desk and a chair. You laid down and kicked your boots off and laid your head back, relaxing. Your eyes slowly closed and you drifted off into a deep slumber.
Quite.. all you wanted.

(Such a shit chapter... 😔 I'm trying to get everything right. Everything is getting autocorrected and I'm getting annoyed lmao. Anyway I've been seeing people favoriting this story and adding it to their reading lists, thank you really! I'm gonna be working on Anas story book.
