Rare..

Quietness was rare. Everyone was usually to busy fighting for their lives or talking about back up plans but not In your case.

It's been a month since you've arrived here and it's been tense but everyone seemed to not mind you being here.
Ana would always assure you that everyone was too moody sometimes or they were just on their periods, even the guys.
She was exactly like Louis.. so likable and amusing.
Louis would always make sure you had a smile on your face while Ana constantly made fun of him for being either 'stupid' or just plain 'out of his mind'.

Everything has been different since you arrived and you didn't know wether it was a good or bad thing..
You at least enjoyed everyone's company sometimes.

The school and people there had faced some trouble before but you never imagined to have to go through what they had to.

'The Delta' was out to find the School and the kids that rested there.
Marlon and Ana had informed you of the havoc that might go down.

Clementine as per usual would step up and help out as much as she could.
She had some pretty great ideas and you honestly trusted her.
Ana on the other hand thought it was a very bad idea to fight back and that we should leave but everyone disagreed with her. They didn't want to leave the school, their home.
Sure it was nice and they spent most of their lives here and made good memories here but you just thought Ana was right. You've seen to many people you've cared about get taken away from you or die.
You didn't want to see it anymore but you couldn't stop it.

You, Brody,Violet,Clementine,Ana and Ruby hung around the river that was accompanied by a shack.
It was all the girls. It was nice because there was no hormones flying around and no yelling guys.
You sat on a rock with a foot dangling from it. Your boot barley touching the water.
Violet and Ruby stood to your right, chatting about something in a quite voice because they didn't want to disturb the silence.
Brody and Clem stood on a bridge that laid across the river for safe crossing. They were happily chatting. A few giggles here and there.
While Ana was being the loner she's always have been. She sat in a decaying wooden chair near the shack. Surprisingly the chair held her weight.. I mean she was super tiny.
You sighed and breathed in the fresh air, the sweet smell of the river and forest enlightened you.
You finally felt happy. Sitting around doing nothing always made you feel better.
The quietness was peaceful. You wouldn't want anything else.
Violet had finished her talk with Ruby and sat down on a rock next to you. She had a visible, soft smile plastered on her silky skin. She looked away, at the river. She watched as the rushing water rushed passed the both of you.
You smiled at her kind soul and deep down inside of you, you felt a tinge of love for this girl. You felt love towards everyone. Maybe this is your place. Maybe your people. We'll see.
Ruby had made her way over to Clem and Brody, purposely ignoring Ana and leaving her all alone.
You felt bad for her but maybe she did need some space. You heard she went through some tough shit before this apocalypse and it affected her greatly.
She never opened up to you, it's not that she doesn't trust you, she just doesn't know you.
Apparently Ana and Clementine met before.. at the beginning of the apocalypse. They both recognized each other about a week later arriving. I mean they were all tangled in their chores or mind that it took them a while to finally take a good look at each other.

"It's nice.." violet said softly. You snapped out of your thoughts and looked over at her confused.
"The quite I mean." She added.
"Yeah.. it's pretty great." You said with a smile.
She looked over at you, that same soft smile..
She wasn't known for smiling a lot but it was a nice change of scenery.
You looked back at her, eyes locked for a minute.
She sighed and looked back at the rushing river.
You felt a bit of regret, you thought you made her uncomfortable by making eye contact but it happens.

It went quite again between the two of you. It looked like she was thinking about something. You decided not to ask and just decided to let her be and not disturb the silence.

After a few minutes you heard someone walking over to you due to the crunching of the leaves.
You looked back and saw Ana trudging her way over to you.
She made it and sat at your other side of you with a huff.
You looked at her tired, heavy body. She didn't acknowledge you or violet in any way, instead she was quite and stared deep into the river.
Finally her tired, dark eyes darted your way and finally acknowledged your staring. "Like what you see?" She said with a weak smile.
You frowned and looked down at your dangling foot, embarrassed from getting caught staring.
She simply laughed quietly and placed her face in her hands. She sighed.
You looked back over at her. She looked rough, I mean we all do but she hasn't been asleep since god who knows how long. She'd always take night watch and when she didn't she stayed in her room all day and night by herself. She looked unhealthy and unhappy.
You frowned and looked towards the bridge, seeing Brody worryingly staring at her. You always figured they had something before you met them but Hey, who knows.
Violet looked up and noticed Ana sitting in their presence. She too worriedly looked at her dear friend. Yeah they had fights but they were still friends and looked out for each other.
Violet them looked at you and you both exchanged sad looks.
"Hey Ana.. you okay?" Clementine came over and bent down towards Ana and placed a hand on her shoulder. Ana sat up quickly, straightened her posture and rubbed at her tired eyes "I'm fine!" She said with yet another weak smile. She fakes everything just to not worry others.
Clem frowned and rubbed circles in her back, "you're not.." she said, "honestly I'm okay! Please stop worrying yourself." Ana retorted back.
An idea struck Clem's head and she began to lift Ana up to her feet, "come one." She managed to lift Ana to her feet with Brody's help who had walked over soon after Clem asked her if she was okay, "let's get you back to the school to get some rest." Clem finished.
Ana sighed and figured it was useless to fight back and trudged her way with Clem and Brody's help. Their arms wrapped around her waist and her arms wrapped around their necks.
You stood up and violet followed, ruby walked past you two and followed the three girls.
You and violet walked side by side, behind everyone else. Every so often your hands would brush past each other and it increased your heart rate every time.
You genuinely felt bad for Ana but Ana's voice echoed as she called back "you coming slow pokes?" She jokingly said as both Clem and Brody smiled down at her as she slouched.
"Yeah,yeah we're coming." You said with a slight smile. Violets pace fastened and your eyes widen at this, "race you." She said with a smirk and began to run past Brody and the others as they all gave her a confused look and you followed her lead and ran past them.

You all arrived to the gate and apparently violet won even though you touched the gate before her but she insisted she won so you let her have her way this time. You were both panting, trying to catch your breaths.

The others caught up and Marlon rushed to the gates and flung open the gates, worried.
He rushed to Anas side and took her from the two girls and rushed her back inside, most likely to her dorm, Ruby following to probably check on her. She got more sick looking on the way there.

The rest of you either scattered in the courtyard or went to your dorms.
You had closed the gate so you were last to leave.
You decided to sit at the couches with Louis and Mitch and Willy eventually showed up, blabbering to Mitch.

(Hi guys! Here's the update I promised! It's short and I'm so sorry! Maybe I'll have one out this Thursday (30th) night after my testing. Also Ana won't be the main focus anytime soon. I'm just trying to change the plot a bit and make it my own. I hope you all don't mind. Also I'm thinking about writing a separate book for one shots! Comment what you think or want!
