I rolled over in my bed feeling an arm under my back. What the... I opened my eyes to see Sam passed out next to me. "Sam! Wake up! You can't be here!" I whisper-yelled shaking his chest. He opened his eyes looking up at me. "Shit. Is your mom home?" he asked getting out of my bed and pulling his shirt over his head. "Yes! That's why you need to leave." I argued getting up. "Window?" he questioned motioning his thumb behind us towards my window. "Yes idiot. Go!" I said pushing him towards my window seat.
"I don't get a goodbye kiss?" he smirked looking at my lips once he opened my window. "You had enough last night." I whispered leaning in so our faces were inches apart. "Now go." I giggled after pecking his lips. I walked into my bathroom sighing at my reflection. There was a small hickey on my collar bone. Sam would pay for this one. I hopped in the shower letting the warm water soothe my body since I was somewhat sore from last night. I changed into a pair of black skinny jeans, a white flowly tanktop, and my white Dr. Martins.
I did my usual makeup, and headed downstairs into the kitchen. "Morning Rilee.", my mom smiled pouring herself a cup of coffee. "Morning." I mumbled grabbing a bowl for my cereal. "So I heard the Brighton twins had a party last night.", she almost questioned leaning against the island in our kitchen. My movements slowed as I grabbed the milk from the fridge. "Uh, did they?" I coughed awkwardly. "You didn't go by any chance did you? You know, with Sam and Jack?", she raised an eyebrow sipping her coffee while staring at me.
"No, why?" I lied pouring the milk into my bowl. "I know you're into parties, especially the ones when I tell you, you can't go." "Mom, I didn't go. You told me I couldn't." I rolled my eyes, sitting down at the barstools. "Explain Sam's jacket by the door.", my mom motioned with her head. I spun my head around quickly seeing his leather jacket draped over the arm of the sofa. Busted. I cringed and slowly turned back around. "I'll call him to say he forgot it." I mumbled pulling out my phone. "So did he creep down the stairs bright and early, or jump from your window?", she asked. What was this, twenty questions?
I let out a breath through my nose looking at her. "Window." I replied quietly and annoyed. "Grounded, two weeks.", she said walking back up the stairs without making eye contact with me. I groaned shaking my head. Why can't she just except me for who I am?
iMessage (TO SAMMY)
you left your fucking jacket on my couch. im grounded for two weeks.
sorry babe..no parties?
maybe not even you. idk, i'll have to find out my "limits"
text me then ;)
I rolled my eyes and finished my breakfast in complete annoyance. Don't get me wrong, I love my mom and all...but she never let's me live the bad-ass teenage years like I want to. Once I was finished I put my bowl into the dishwasher. "Mom?" I asked leaning against the door frame of her room as she made the bed. "Hm?" "Being grounded...does that mean no parties?" I asked. She shot me a look that you really don't want from your mom. "Yes Rilee, no parties, no friends over, no going over to friends' houses', nothing."
I huffed watching her ruffle the sheets. "Can I hang out with Jack and Sam?" I asked quickly biting my lip. "What part of my answer did you not understand?" mom asked. "Ugh." I threw my head back, walking away and down to the foyer where Sam's jacket was. "AT LEAST LET ME DRIVE HIS JACKET OVER TO HIS HOUSE." I called up the stairs. She stepped out of the room looking down at me, "Fine. Just this once, but come right home." "K!" I said excitedly running out the door and into my black Range Rover.
Around ten minutes later I pulled into Sammy's driveway. No other cars were there, so I guessed his parents were at work. The door opened after I rang the doorbell revealing Sam standing there with a grin on his face. "Here's your jacket." I said cockily tossing it as his chest. "Wanna come in?", he winked. "I can't. My mom is letting me out just this once." I rolled my eyes. "Then why don't we make the most of it?" he smirked. "Are you like a sex addict now, or something?" I teased.
"Alright fine. I'll see you in school tomorrow, yeah?", Sam asked. "Well I kind of have to go." I mumbled standing on his front steps. "Okay, okay, enough with the sassiness.", he chuckled. "Bye." I smiled kissing his cheek and then running back to my car. No parties, friends, or anything social for the next two weeks...except school. This will be a long wait considering I'm out almost everynight. My reputation will most likely drop two percent, but I'll just have to work it back up after my grounding time.

Not the best chapter. But hey, this is a new story and it's more of an intro chapter. XD
I'm soo excited for this story, I think you guys are really gonna like it. Yanno, if you like this kind of taste in books.
Even though, I literally said 'comment' like a million times at the very beginning...that's okkay;)
But an FYI: This is NOTHING like my other story 'Living On The Edge'. NOTHING. It's way more intense, and mature. Again, it's rated R...so that should give it away. ♥
