Days turned to months, as months turned to years. Soon its 5 years later.

Cassie's POV

Humming to myself I continue to put up the streamers around the livingroom in the very house that started it all. Pink balloons are everywhere as the house looks like barbie threw up on it.

The front door opens and I hear little feet running at me. "MOMMY MOMMY MOMMY!" A little girl with wavy brown hair and big hazel eyes screams as she runs into my arms.

Picking her up I grin as she giggles. "Hows my little birthday girl!" I cheer hugging my daughter tight her pink tutu crinkling as I do so.

"Good!!! Daddy bought me a new dolly!" She exclaims showing me the doll in her hands.

"That I did." A masculine voice says. As I look up I give Niall a small smile.

"You didn't need to do that." I sigh as he walks over to me.

"Of course I did. It's our daughters birthday!" He exclaims a little frustrated. Running his fingers through his brown hair, as he ditched the blond a couple years back.

As I set our daughter down I kneel in front of her. "How about you go get changed for your party Ally? Your guests will be here soon. Mummy and daddy need to have a chat before they get here." I tell my little girl mustering up the most genuine smile I could.

"Okay mummy!" She smiles wide and runs up to her room.

Once I hear the door shut I turn to look at Niall.

"Let's not do this... it's her 4th birthday for fucks sake Niall." I sigh.

"I'm sorry. It's just I wanted to do something for OUR daughter on her birthday since I'm so busy touring." He huffs.

I look down with a sigh as I play with my hands. "Maybe you should've thought of that before you left... Not just for this tour but for good... You left me when she was three months old..." I look at him now. "You need to find a way to spend time with her. Liam does with Bear, so does Louis with Freddie AND your daughter for heavens sake."

"I'm trying here Cass. I'm sorry I just couldn't take it anymore. Our lives just weren't compatible."

I shake my head at his comment, holding in the snort threatening to escape, and walk to the kitchen saying over my shoulder, "OR. You couldn't handle the fact I did something dumb for 2 years."

Niall follows me and just as he's about to argue he's cut off.

"HONEY I'M HOME!!!" Rings through both of our ears. Quickly I make my way back to the living room to see Louis grinning with bags surrounding him.

"LOU LOU!!!!!" My daughter screams as she runs down the stairs and jumps into his arms.

"Hey princess! Happy birthday big girl!" He grins tickling my daughter as he hugs her to him.

I smile at the sight as Alexia's giggles fill the room. Louis looks up at me as he sets the little girl down and comes up giving me a sweet kiss. "And as for my queen I missed you.

I hum and kiss him back. "I missed you too handsome."

There's a clearing of a throat and we both look over at Niall, who has an eyebrow raised. "When did this happen?"

Louis pretends to think for a moment. "About 8 months ago I'd say." He smirks as he pulls me into his side.

Niall scoffs. "Move on with my best mate. Classy Cassie."

"Louis was there when you weren't Ni. Always was too." I say as I look at Louis his hazel blue eyes shining back at me. You can see the love through them. It causes a smile to grow on my face as I see Lou's lips turn up into a grin too.

"I always loved you. From the minute I saw you. Just took you a lot longer to figure out who was right for you." Louis grins and places a soft kiss to my forehead. I sigh happily as I remember the moment I fell in love with Louis.

*Flashback*

Curled up in a ball on the couch I sit there staring at the once rambunctious three year old, cuddled up with her favorite stuffed bunny, laying next to me. A small smile spreads across my face as I feel the couch dip with weight on the other side of me.

"She's finally asleep?" Louis soft voice asks in my ear.

"Yeah, about time too." I quietly chuckle as I look back over at Louis. "Thank you... for everything you've done for me and Ally." a say as our eyes meet.

"There's no need to thank me love, I'd do anything for you Cass." he softly smiles as my heart melts at his words. "Let me go take her up to bed and we can watch a movie yeah?" he asks.

"That sounds perfect." I smile as he stands back up, kisses me on the head and gently picks up my daughter and heads up to her room. After a while of waiting I quietly make my way upstairs to find Louis cuddled up with Ally on her bed as he sings to her

"...Even the best fall down sometimes

Even the wrong words seem to rhyme
Out of the doubt that fills my mind
I somehow find
You and I collide

I'm quiet you know

You make a first impression

I've found I'm scared to know I'm always on your mind

Even the best fall down sometimes
Even the stars refuse to shine
Out of the back you fall in time
I somehow find
You and I collide"

As Louis finishes his song I smile even wider as he tucks Ally, who's by now sound asleep, in and sets her stuffed bunny in next to her. "Goodnight my little princess." he whispers and kisses her on the head. Turning around he notices me grinning at him. "What?" he chuckles as he comes face to face with me.

"I just..." before I finish my sentence I kiss him. He reacts quickly and wraps his arms around my waist pulling me in closer. The kiss is short and sweet as I pull away and say the three words I should've said a long time ago. "I love you Louis."

His eyes sparkle as he pulls me in for a short peck. "You have no idea how long I've been waiting to hear that." He grins.

*End flashback*

"You two are bloody ridiculous!" Niall huffs angrily but again gets cut off from his rant by the door opening up again.

AN: I enjoyed writing that flashback a little too much for my own Good.
