Chapter 16

"What's this smell?" asks Skeet.
Mädchen looks at him, then they go downstairs.
"Oh my god..." says Mädchen.
The house is burning!
"Mom! Skeet!" screams a voice.
Mädchen gets out of the shock.
"Mina! Where are you?" screams her.
"We ar-cough here!"
"We? Is Sly with you?" asks Mädchen.
"He is... Please, come here!"
Mädchen and Skeet walk in the burning house, following Mina's voice.
"Mom!"
"Mina!"
Mädchen runs to her, but Skeet holds her.
"Wait, it's too risky!"
"Skeet, they're my children!" screams Mädchen.
Skeet looks at her, then he lets her go.
"Guys, I'm on the wa-"
*boom*
Everyone cough.
"Mina, Sly, are you there?" asks Mädchen.
"Mädchen... Don't look" says Skeet.
Mädchen looks at him.
Then she looks at where he's looking.
An arm is checking under a piece of roof.
"NOOOOOOOO!"

"Mom, mom!" says Mina.
Mädchen opens her eyes.
"OH MY GOD, YOU'RE ALIVE!" she says, hugging her and Sly.
"What happened? I heard someone screaming!" says Skeet, opening the door.
"I just had a nightmare... Wait, why are you here Skeet?"
Skeet looks at her.
"Mädchen.... This is my house."
Mädchen looks around.
That isn't her bedroom.
"Then... It wasn't a nightmare?" asks quietly.
Everyone looks at her.
"It wasn't, mom..."
Mädchen lays again on the bed.
Tears start falling off her eyes.
Mina lays next to her mom, and Sly holds Mädchen's hand.
Skeet slowly approaches to them.
He isn't part of the family, he doesn't know if he should go next to Mädchen.
But seeing the love of his life crying, makes he feel so bad...
He goes next to Mädchen, and he caresses her cheek.
Then a little tear falls off one of his eyes.
