Since the book officially has no more submissions, I have decided to add the stories that weren't published the first time around. There were two amazing writers who had submitted their work and I would love for everyone to read it.

The very first one is by the amazing

WandererOfTheSkies

It was the start of a new year, new beginning of life, where one leaves behind their school days and steps into college life. No one can predict anything that is going to happen, no one is certain about the future and one can only so much as hope for the best.

Sarah, a girl with high aspirations and many dreams to fulfill and then there was Leah, she was ambitious and also a free spirited person by nature. The first day of college, Sarah and a few students were sitting in class waiting for the professor to come, when the door opened and a girl with blonde hair walked in and took a seat beside Sarah.

"Hi, I'm Leah. What's your name?"

"I'm Sarah."

The first day passed by rather quickly with the professors coming to class and introducing themselves and their respective subjects while making the students introduce themselves at the same time. At the end of the day, Sarah and Leah exchanged numbers and decided to hangout sometime after college.

The next day Leah was sitting in campus watching a movie on her phone when Sarah seen her and decided to go meet her.

"Hey that's a really nice movie." Sarah said after catching a glimpse of the movie Leah was watching.

"Oh hi, yeah it's pretty amazing so far." Leah replied.

"I think you might wanna continue the movie later since we need to head to class, if you don't want to get late." Sarah said.

"Yes, let's get going" Leah answered and they headed towards class.

The rest of the week pretty much went on in the same fashion of the two of them attending classes together and their friendship grew stronger with the passing time. At the end of the second week of college they decided to hangout and watch a movie. They discovered they had same tastes in movies, songs and cuisines. They had a great time getting to know more about each other and this strengthened the very roots of their friendship.

Sarah fell sick that night and texted Leah saying that she won't be attending college the next day. Leah replied that it was ok and that Sarah should take complete rest and get well soon.

The next day Sarah's parents had left for work and she was alone at home just reading a book when the door bell rang though she wasn't expecting anyone at this moment. She got out of her room and went downstairs to open the door; she was surprised to see a smiling Leah standing there with a bag in her hand.

"Hi, what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be in college now...?" Sarah said.

"Well I know how boring it is to be by yourself when you are sick so I thought I can give you company and as for college I can get the notes, no need to worry. Now if you have finished interrogating me can I come in...?" Leah asked.

"Yeah sure" Sarah replied and the two of them went inside and spend the rest of the day talking about their pasts, their fears, ambitions, families and about any topic that could get their hands on.

Finally it was time for Leah to leave, "So, I will see you in college tomorrow." Leah said while heading out. "Yeah, and thanks for coming over, it was really nice to have a friend over. See you tomorrow." Sarah replied and went upstairs to her room while Leah headed home.
