chapter 3
(rose's pov)

i walked back into the kitchen to look for corinna, but to my surprise she wasn't there. i briefly looked around the area i was in to see if i could spot the blonde.
i had no luck.

i try to block out my social anxiety that i recently gained from certain things.
i cant recognize anybody in this house, and that doesn't help at all.

i start walking towards the refrigerator to get some water. as i open the right door of the fridge i hear an unfamiliar voice shout at me. "baby! could you pass me a Corona?" i turn around and see a brown haired and brown bearded man sitting on a stool across the kitchen, smiling at me as he raises his hand. i smile back at him and nod. "sure."

i grab his beer right after i grab a water bottle for myself. i start walking to the man sitting down with lots of friends around him. two girls to his right. red haired, and a dark brown/ red haired girl. i see a boy sitting next to him on the left that had blonde hair and he was very tall, compared to me at least. and then i see another girl. standing right next to him, in between the two girls and the man. i assumed they are dating. she has a long curly ponytail and some crazy curves. i hand out the beer to him. "thank you so much. i'm zane by the way." i nod and smile, "rose." i just assumed he was one of david and corinna's friends because he said 'baby' just like heath did when i met him. i guess that's a thing they do?

"holy shit, girl you are so pretty!" i immediately turn my attention to the red/pink -ish haired girl that just spoke at me. "me?" i say and hold my hand over my chest, giving the girl a questionable look. "no i'm talking to the man behind you— obviously i'm talking to you." she laughs and the others laugh quickly after her. i giggle to shake off the awkwardness in my face. "thanks! so are you." i flip my hair over my shoulder. the girl smiles, "HA no but thank you rose. i'm carly. this is erin. that's stassie babyyy, and matt over there by zane." she guides her fingers pointing at her friends. "nice to meet you guys. um do you know corinna?" they all quickly look at each other and carly responds, "yes! are you here with her?" i play with the rings on my fingers, "well not anymore. you see, she ditched me."
"hang out with us!" stassie says while keeping her attention on her phone screen. she looks up from her phone and smiles at me and i smile back. "alright." the group of people start talking about something that i'm not familiar with and just tune in pretending to pay attention, because i honestly don't care. i just want to leave.

i smile to myself and shut my phone off. i look at the people sitting in front of me, "hey guys i'm gonna go. my friend wants to take me to chipotle. i'll see y'all later though, alright?" a few of the them nod. "sure baby have fun!" zane says and then hits his juul. "byeee" matt drags out as i walk away and wave.
