Voodoo Doll

June, 21st

Dear Diary:

Today I went dress shopping with my best friend, Liv. 

"That's it! That's the one!" She said with a proud look on her face. Olivia has been my best friend ever since we were 9, she knows me better than I know myself and she is the only person that knows what I did. 

"I'm not sure about it, I think it's way too revealing." I tilted my face eyeing the girl in the mirror.

"That's the point! We're seniors now, Ivy. We're supposed to be having the time of our lives! Plus, it's our last prom, we need to look good!" 

"Okay fine." I eyed myself one more time and smiled, I do look good. We payed for the dress and continued with our usual routine. We bought some Starbucks and sat down to chat.

"Okay so, remember that Matt guy I told you about?" Liv asked.

"The one you met at last week's party? Blue shirt?"

"Yeah that one."

"What about him?" 

"We're kinda dating." 

"Dating? Didn’t you meet him like a week ago?" I laughed.

"Well yeah, but it’s true love." She breathed. 

“There is no such thing as true love Liv, it’s all physical attraction and you know that.” She laughed and shook her head. 

“You’re so twisted” 

"Yet you still love me" I laughed. This was us, two of the prettiest girls in Sydney, carefree, fearless and total players. I'm not very proud of playing around with almost every guy I meet, but that's all I can do. I can't fall in love and no one can fall in love with me. Why? Because when I was 14 I got tired. Tired of being everyone's last choice, tired of being so ugly, tired of having people judge me just because of my looks. So I did the worst thing I could've possibly done, I went to seek for Him. I was willing to do anything just to become pretty, just to have someone falling on their knees every time I walked by. 

FLASHBACK

"Are you sure about this? There's no going back." Lucifer's messenger asked me.

"I'm sure." I nodded. 

"Okay then, He wants to see you in the back of Sydney Town Hall at 11:06. He will be there at exactly 11 with 6 minutes, 6 seconds, 6 milliseconds. Do not doubt him, don't try to play smarter than him, cause you're not. Do as he says and you'll get just what you want." He turned around leaving me standing there. It was 9:28 so I still had some time to kill. I went back to my house and grabbed the prettiest dress I could find. I need to look good from the beginning. I'm sure about doing this, I have no doubt that this is the only way. I took a steaming shower and changed into the dress, I wrapped the towel in my head and went downstairs to eat something. No one was home, as usual. My dad was on a business trip and my mom was working. I'm an only child. At 10:46 I left my house. The hot Sydney air embraced me as I walked to the graveyard. It was very dark when I got there. I started walking towards the end of the yard and as I got closer I felt how darkness and evil was taking over every single cell in my body. It was such an awful and heavy feeling. I felt unsafe, it was 11:05. No sign of the so called Devil. I kept looking for something but I saw nothing. 

11:06. I spotted a pair of red little lights. I focused my sight and there he was. Red eyes was all I could see. Nothing more. "Beauty in exchange for the soul of the first person that falls in love for who you are and not what you look like." A deep evil voice spoke sending chills all over my spine. 

"Deal." I said.

"Now remember, there are no second chances, no mistakes. If you do not do as I say I will kill your family, one by one, making sure that you hear every single painful scream, now I don't think you'll be able to live with the guilt of murdering your family, will you?"

"No, I'll do as you say." A tear rolled down my cheek. 

"We have a deal then, I hope you're glad with your choice." And with that he left and my golden ages started.

END OF FLASHBACK

We drove back to my house and decided to have a sleepover since my parents weren't home. They never are, but whatever I don't need them. I've done perfectly fine for 5 years now. Liv turned the t.v. on and searched for something on Netflix, while I ordered a pizza. The pizza arrived and I payed the lady, I usually would just kiss the guy or invite him in, but seeing as this was a lady, I couldn't do it. 

We changed into our pajamas and laid on the couch. We decided on having a Shrek marathon. We made popcorn and ate until our stomachs were ready to burst. After finishing all four movies we talked for a bit more and decided to go to sleep already, since it was 3am.
