Brendon woke up the next morning and pulled the sweatshirt over his head and smiled. It was Ryan's sweatshirt. Ryan gave it to him because he loved him and was finally open about it. Ryan was finally proud of being with Brendon. Ryan was finally his boyfriend.

Spencer beeped outside Brendon's house, most likely disturbing the whole neighborhood, and Brendon sighed, running down the steps, swinging up the door, and fiddling with the lock before running into his best friend's vehicle.

"Nice sweatshirt, Bren." Spencer spoke with a knowing smirk on his face. Brendon just blushed and looked at the ground, that dumb happy grin never leaving his face. "Thanks," he smiled, "it's my boyfriend's." Spencer chuckled lightly, pulling on his seatbelt. "Boyfriend, hm?" Spencer pretended to be oblivious. Brendon nodded his head, blushing. "Can't wait to meet him." Spencer laughed, placing his foot on the gas peddle to drive away.

Brendon had not gotten a response to his text message to Dallon, but he assumed Dallon wasn't able to even see his phone during his inpatienting. That was hardly on his mind because tonight he was going to Ryan's house to be introduced as his boyfriend, and Brendon could not be more excited. He loved the idea of Ryan being proud to tell anyone, especially his parents that Brendon was his boyfriend. It made his heart glisten.

"Hey baby!" Ryan smiled, coming behind Brendon at his locker, wrapping his arms around him from behind. "Oh, hi there, Ry," Brendon turned around in his hold to give him a soft kiss on the lips. Ryan and Brendon both never thought they'd see the day that Ryan was open with his feelings, much less acting in enough PDA to make even the greatest fangirl uncomfortable.

"Are you ready for our date tonight?" Brendon inquired playfully. Ryan's eyes lost hold with Brendon's for a moment and showed weakness, but after the momentary falter, looked back up as he smiled as much as he could. "Oh, I'm ready alright," Ryan trailed off in a laugh, rubbing behind his neck and sighing. Brendon gave him a knowing look and tilted his head to the side.

"Alright, I mean, I'm a little nervous," Ryan admitted. "and by "a little nervous," I mean I've been having a fucking panic attack since my nightmare last night where my parents sent me to gay boot camp when I revealed we were dating." Brendon tried to hold it in but then laughed uproariously, feeling bad for the taller boy as his face reddened.

"Gay boot camp? Really, Ry?" Brendon continued his laughter. Ryan rolled his eyes and pleaded, "oh c'mon, Bren, you know what I mean."

"No, Ryan, you're never living this one done," he chuckled, "that was fucking hilarious." Ryan looked at him with an annoyed expression until he stopped his laughter and suddenly pulled Ryan in for a hug. Ryan tripped into the unexpected embrace but sighed contently.

"Your parents love you, Ryan, everything's going to be okay, I promise," Brendon soothingly spoke into the older boy's ear, "and even if it's not okay... I love you, so I'll make sure it's okay." Ryan smiled and let out a soft laugh, pulling Brendon closer and kissing him on the lips before the pair pulled away as the bell rang, both boys walking away to their next classes.

School ended, and Brendon and Ryan were on the way to their town's police station to end the case with Dallon's attempted rape. It was going to be cleared from Dallon's record, but it still could be opened in the future for awhile. But Brendon knew not pressing charges meant ending that horrible part of his life.

"Bren, are you sure you wanna do this?" Ryan asked, grabbing his hand from the passenger seat, giving it a soft squeeze. Ryan continued, "I mean, all the awful shit he did to you, baby... I can't help but feel like he deserves it."
