The next morning the morning air was filled with the smell of freshly brewed coffee and waffles being made. Soft humming was heard coming from the kitchen, a soft and gentle tune. The morning sun peeked through the curtains lighting up parts of the large living room.

A sunbeam dawned over the male on the couch, shining in his face causing him to stir awake. Upon opening his eyes, they stung at the sudden light in his face causing him to turn over with a groan and pulling the sheet over his face. But even when the sun still screamed at him to wake up. Because of the sunlight caused him to sit up with the sheet over his face.

He pulled the sheet away from his face and look around the room. But his eyes soon scanned over to the kitchen where he saw her moving around the area in a dance-like manner. Hold her arms in a bent manner and moved them at her sides in a circular motion and keeping them close to her body. She began quietly mumbling words to herself as she watched a video on her phone, dancing with the song that played.

From the corner of her eyes, Valdis stopped her video and standing up straight to turn to him. "Did I wake you up? I'm sorry." She apologized in a soft voice watching Remy sit up on the couch and bring his knuckle to his eye.

"Non, you're okay. The sun woke me up." He mutters out, his voice filled with sleep and gruffness. He ran his fingers through the tuffs of his hair. "What are you doing today?"

"Teaching new routines to the new girls at the Camisado, then heading to the Avengers Compound to catch up on some work with Loki, and then head over to Steve's for dinner." She recalled her plans for today as she started pouring coffee in a couple of coffee mugs as then a timer went off to signal the waffles were done.

She pushed one of the mugs to the side of the counter before turning her back towards him to open up the waffle maker. She reached up for a plate in her cabinet and putting it on the counter before placing the waffles on it. The waffles were in thick squares in a golden brown steaming hot as then Valdis took the plate to the island where a container full of sliced strawberries sat, powdered sugar, and a can of whipped cream. She then decorated the waffles in strawberry slices before sprinkling powder sugar and then putting whipped cream on top.

Remy watched her pull the maple syrup from the fridge, picking a fork from a drawer, and then taking the plate to him. "Breakfast is ready~!" Valdis announced in a singing voice as she slid the plate to him.

His eyes shifted down the waffles and then back up at her with a smile. "Thank you, Cherie." He said to then receive a smile back from her.

She stayed in the kitchen with him, enjoying her coffee and leaning on the opposite counter whilst being on her phone. Her icy blue eyes scanned the words on her phone before quickly typing away on the screen keyboard. It was quiet again with the soft sound of a fork hitting against the glass.

Valdis started to shift in her spot at the counter with her eyebrows furrowing and her hand flying up to her mouth to bite her thumbnail. This caught Remy's attention at her sudden frantic movements the more she stared at her phone, her body wiggled ever so slightly as she tried to keep herself balanced with her legs crossed under her. She was panicking and worried about something but he couldn't tell what it was bothering her though.

Just then her phone started to ring in her hand, she turned to Remy holding up a finger before leaving to go into her room answering the call.

"<Hello, little brother, what's going on?>" She spoke out in Norwegian as she hurried off into her room in an urgent manner.

Valdis and her Norwegian tongue were always so nice sounding to him, airy and gentle. It never came out too rough unless she was scolding her brothers, or when she is going off on someone. It before he could even focus on Valdis anymore, his phone began ringing. He looked behind him before getting up and walking over to his trench coat to pull out his phone from the pocket.
