Chapter 2: Doesn't This Remind You Of Our First Date?

Steve nearly fell out of his chair once he made eye contact with Remy and reading that evil glint in his demonic eyes. He didn't want to be seen, now Valdis was for sure going to murder him after being snitched on. He knew he should've worn a hat with Bucky but it seemed stupid at the time. Let alone the second Valdis sees Bucky's arm, their covers will be blown.

But before Steve could comprehend a plan, he saw Valdis getting up from her chair with Remy as he took their check. Steve pulled Sam's head down to have them all look down to not be seen by Valdis but her damn attention was on the Cajun as he talked to her. Steve saw that evil glint in his eyes and knew that look all too damn well because Bucky used to make that same exact look when he was chasing after a girl.

The look of what Peter calls it, "Mr. Steal Your Girl". Steve seethed in anger and jealousy as he watched them walk out after paying for their bill. The second they stepped out the door, Steve let out a deep throaty growl before jumping out of his seat. Sam and Bucky jolted up and Bucky the first to go after him as Sam hastily dropped a ten dollar bill on the table before chasing after them, even though the pot of hot tea was only three bucks.

"So this was the new arcade Peter has been cheering about? It looks like a Dave and Busters." Valdis commented looking up at the flashy building that held a bright neon sign that read "Back To The Future Arcade" on the front above the doors. She looked back at Remy with a quirked eyebrow and a tiny smirk, "You sure about this place, Rem?"

"I just came here a few weeks ago with the new mutants. You'll like it." Remy reassured her as he pulled open the door and held it open for her to walk in first.

Inside the building was lit up in mostly dimmed lights mixed with black lights. Teenagers and young adults played games all around, loud music played, many of the games looked like booths at a fair. Lights twinkled around the fair-like games which made Valdis happy and smile, mainly due to the fact it reminded her of the fairs that used to come to her hometown when she was growing up. On the far side of the building was another room with two red doors reading in neon lights, "Food & Refreshments".

As Remy walked up to a ticket booth to get them in, Valdis walked up to the end of the lobby to peek out more into the new arcade. Even though it was filled with kids around, something about it she already likes and she hadn't even played any of the games yet. But already she had and idea what to play based on the games she could see from the distance.

Remy soon walked up to her with two plastic reems in his hand, Valdis turned to him with a smile but her eyes then shifted to the elastic bands. "Rem, what are those?" She asked when then she read on the side, "Full Pass" and then her eyes flickered back to him. "Remy, no that's too much!"

"Too late, we have full passes that let us play unlimited games." Remy grinned as he handed her the red band and then held out his wrist.

Valdis frowned as she put the plastic bracelet on him, "I'm going to pay you back the second I get home. How much even were these?" She asked worriedly and then looking up at him with a guilty look in her eyes.

He shook his head as then he gently grabbed Valdis's wrist to put the blue band on her. "Don't worry about paying me back. It's my treat, mon cher." He told her with a sincere smile to reassure her not to worry about it.

Her eyes looked past him and in big blocky lettering read the prices, "Remy, you paid a total of 100 for the both of us?!" She nearly screeched at the amount of the price for the bracelet passes, her eyes wide looking back at his. "Are you crazy?!"

"Hey, hey, hey. Like I said, Don't worry about it." He told her again in a more serious yet sarcastic tone as his hand moved down with her before pulling her into the actual gaming area. "C'mon, I wanna see if you got better at skeeball."
