"Jade, honey, we're here," I could here my mothers voice sweetly call me. I opened my eyes to see that the passengers were already grabbing there carry-ons and heading off the plane.

I unbuckled my seat belt and got up. After sitting down on a plane for so long it feels so good to stretch my legs. Especially since I had to sit next to a big chubby guy that was really sweaty and kept tryin to chat me up.

After getting my bag from the over head, I begin to walk off the plane. As I get off, I am immediately hit with the cool winter breeze of London, England. After living in Brisbane, Australia my whole life, this freezing weather is definitely something to get use to. Since I'm only wearing a maroon sweater and a black skirt with black stockings and ankle boots, I can practically feel the frostbite forming.

After getting our luggage, we head out of the warm airport, to the parking lot. A black limo pulls up in front of us and the driver jumps out to grab our suitcases. I guess that's one of the advantages of having workaholic as parents.

My parents are rich. My mum owns her own line of clothing and my dad was the best doctor in all of Australia. They are always getting us expensive things and it's nice and all, but it still doesn't make up for the fact that they are never home though. They are constantly working and going on business trips. They go for weeks, sometimes months, at a time and only come back for a couple of days before they leave again.

After getting in the car, we drive for around 45 mins, until we end up at a street on top of a small hill, with mansion-sized houses and clean cut gardens.

"Wow," I say, mouth agape.

"I know right," Emily says, actually getting her face out of her phone.

"Isn't it lovely," mum says, getting her suitcase.

The house was made of white bricks with browny black tiled roofs. Dad opened the large front doors to view the inside of the massive house. The flooring was made of large cream coloured tiles, and the walls were white and cream. As soon as you open the door you see a split staircase connecting at the second floor.

I turn to see Emily is already lying on the couch texting. I pick up my suitcase that I left near the door and turn to my parents who are admiring the place. "I'm gonna go pick my room."

After walking up the large staircase I start to walk down the hallway. I go to the last door at the end of the hallway and open the door. As I open the door I first notice how big it is. The ground is white washed floor boards and the walls are thin white planks. There is a large white bed with white wooden posts and thin mesh hanging down from them expertly, with cute fairy lights draped across the head of the posts, thankfully mum a dad sent the beds ahead of us so we would have something to sleep on.

There is a bathroom on right side of the room with the walls and floor made of the polished pearl tiles. There is a large shower, jacuzzi bath and large sink with blue lights showing from underneath, with a massive mirror above the sink.

I walk out of the bathroom to see two glass double doors in the wall. Noticing how it isn't the balcony I go over to check it out. When I open the doors I see a cozy couch with many pillows behind them. This is a perfect place to read my books.

I close the doors and turn around to see a door on the other side of the room. I open it to see a massive walk in closet. I flip a switch to the left and the room instantly brightens from the crystal chandelier above a circular, silver couch in the centre of the closet. It has a soft white carpet covering the floor and white walls. There is a lot of shelving, so I could probably fit all my clothing in here.

That's probably the only thing my mother, Emily and I have in common. Fashion. I have always had a passion for fashion (as the Bratz would say), and am going to be taking over mums business along side Emily. I have no idea how that is going to work because she has never been as passionate as me. While I would be going to one of mums many outlets to help out after school, Emily would go over to boys houses or parties.

Don't get me wrong, I am NOT a nerd. Even though Emily calls me one because I enjoy reading, I do not wear glasses or have braces. I'm not the most outgoing of people like my sister (her being the head cheerleader and all), but I do not get pushed around because everyone knows we're related.

"Jade! Have you chosen your room yet!" My mother hollers, breaking me from my daydream.

"Yep!" I yell back, with a content smile on my face.

"This is definitely my room."

After unpacking my suitcase I go downstairs to see my mum. When I go to turn the corner into the kitchen, I hear her on her phone arguing with someone. I wait for her to finish talking, well yelling, and decide to walk in. When she finally put down her phone she let out a long sigh and rubbed her eyes.

She obviously hadn't noticed my presence, so I cleared my throut. Her head snapped up and she looked startled.

"Hey mum are you okay?"

"Yeah honey. Just work stuff."

"Oh, so your going back soon?"

"Yeah me and your father have to leave tomorrow for a couple of weeks."

"But we just moved here."

"Yeah I know baby, but I have to."

"Yeah alright."

"I'm gonna go pack. The rest of our stuff will be here tomorrow. I have already talked to the furniture movers, and told them where to put the stuff. They're going to construct the furniture in your room but leave your boxes for you to unpack"

"Yeah that's cool"

"Okay sweetie. We're going to be leaving early tomorrow morning so we won't be here for the first day of school. We have organised for a new car to be arriving tomorrow for you and Emily to share."

And with that, she left me in the kitchen so I went to go see dad. He was in the dining room, sitting at the table with his laptop.

"Hey dad, I'm gonna go for a walk around the neighbourhood."

"Okay. Be home by dark."
