Unexpected bloc.

It's been almost a month since the first day Darina met Harvey. Darina enjoyed going to Harvey's house either if she had a day off or after school.
Her father didn't stop her from going to the Mclean's house to see Harvey but he couldn't help but a little unease. Darina felt weird around them when Mr. Mclean strangely stares at her before he covers it with a smile.
Sometimes, she notice soft colors on Harvey's skin, but he would cover them immediately before she notice or ask about them, they look painful and large in some places.
Harvey looked more thinner and paler but that didn't stop him from enjoying Darina's company whenever she was around. He dreaded what the Mclean does when the lights go dead and no sound was heard from outside the house, he didn't want Darina to know anything about that, he didn't want her to come to their house in the first place because of them, he didn't want her to get hurt.
But he was too selfish to say it to her, he wanted her near him, she was fun to be around even if he was six years older than her.
" They are not home." Harvey mumbled as he looked at the driveway from the window where the Mclean's car always parks, he didn't find the one bag that Anna—Mrs. Mclean always carries whenever she leaves the house.
He didn't notice that Darina heard what he said, she looked out the window where he was staring and then back up at Harvey.
" You mean your parents?" She was so adorable and so clueless about what was happening.
He didn't want her to get involved in the world he was living. Those people are monsters, no one knows what they do when everyone goes to sleep.
" Do you want to watch something?" Harvey's weak voice spoke under his breath, he looked a bit groggy and dizzy but she didn't notice.
" Okay." She nodded and followed him.
As she walked closer to the couch, she could see something peeking from under his shirt, it almost looked like the colors of her father's skin but it wasn't as beautiful as his father's.
Darina watched Harvey shakily touch the side of the couch, breathing almost painfully from his lips as his eyes squeezed shut, feeling himself fall face-first onto the couch.
" Harvey!" Darina gripped his shirt, rocking him a little to bring his attention to her.
Fear filled her eyes, she examined his pale face, it wasn't as good as before, he was very tired, and his natural colors drained from his whole body.
A couple of days before, she noticed that he quit wearing T-shirts, he would always wear long-sleeved shirts and sweaters, and they looked darker and darker every day. And then he would always wear high-necked-sleeved shirts, the same shirt every day.
Harvey let out a soft chuckle, it was barely there but he didn't want to scare the little girl away. He let the smile linger on his lips, his shaky hand moving towards her face, touching the hair that covered the side of her tempting face.
" I'm fine, I just need some water." He brushed her dark hair out of her face and nodded softly towards the kitchen.
She nodded immediately and moved hastily towards the kitchen. She grabbed the fridge handle as hard as she could, but it wouldn't budge, she noticed a small lock at the lower side of the fridge realizing that it will never open without a key.
Darina didn't know what to do, she looked around the kitchen, searching for a glass cup but she didn't find anything, everything was secured and locked, this never happened in her house, why was the Mclean doing this? how are they going to eat?
