Old memories.
Present day

|Darina|

Darina walked through her bedroom door, her eyes moving across the furniture taking in the view of the room that she spent her teenage years in. It wasn't as pleasant as she thought it would be, coming back from her apartment in Brookline, the modern furniture and style there made her escape from this room's vibe.

To her, this mansion was the beginning of a new life, their new life.

After the incident, her father changed 180 degrees after that day, after everything. She felt awful for some reason, she knew that she played a big role in that day to change everything he ever loved, changed everything he ever made.

So, instead of completing his role in the Motorcycle club, he took over her grandfather's large commercial corporation company, a very known company holding a lot of branches all around the world.

Her father changed ever since and she couldn't help but feel guilty for it.

" Don't pout, little miss." Her head snapped up once she heard that familiar voice.

Her eyes blurred with tears the moment they laid on the African-American woman standing by the doorway that she missed dearly, her arms folded against her melon-like breasts.

" Jeremiah." With tears running down her flawless cheeks, she spoke in a soft and cracked tone as she rushed towards her and buried herself in Jeremiah's embrace.

" Oh, sweetheart." Jeremiah kissed the top of Darina's head and brushed her gorgeous dark hair away from her bewitching face and wiped her tears away.

" It's all my fault, isn't it?" She sniffled, squeezing her eyes tightly.

She felt Jeremiah stiffen and a deep frown sat on her face. Her eyes turned darker at Darina's voice. She pulled her away and made Darina look properly into her eyes.

" Never say that again, what happened was never your fault, it was no one's fault," Jeremiah brushed her fingers against Darina's flushed cheeks.

She was so pure and so perfect, every time she visits her father, she would throw the blame on herself at the sight of him like that, she now knows that she won't be able to see her father this time that she graduated from her university. " Now, come right down after you settle, I made your favorite meal."

Jeremiah pushed Darina slightly towards the bathroom at the side of her room. Darina sniffled one more time, trying her best to put on a smile that looked broken and weak.

It took Darina a couple of minutes to settle in and wear comfortable clothes before walking out of her room and down the fancy hall to the stairs. Her thoughts were clouded, it always is every time she steps foot into this mansion.

She wished those thoughts were something she could call good memories, but they weren't.

Darina's mouth watered when the delicious smell crept its way into Darina's nostrils. With a smile, she speeds towards the wide marble kitchen in time to see Jeremiah scooping the food and pouring it onto a clean plate. A smile on her lips once she looked at Darina standing there.
