Despite everything Emma did to me it killed me to see Emma like this. Ryder and I both knew that death was the only punishment that the mother*ucker deserved. Me and Ryder were pretty impressed and proud that our mate and Luna could defend her self even in our absence.

 I was supposed to come a day later to pick her up but it just killed me to stay their alone drowning in my thoughts. For the past few days alcohol and depression had become my bestfriend. It was so hard to live without her in the house that it just made me realized that she was the only one who could save me from my past. Whether she wanted to help me or not not her presence was just enough to made me forget about my past and me look out for the future which still held hope with her. Being around her made me forget about all the dark thoughts I had. And it was so good for a while now.

I carried her inside the cabin and placed her  softly on the bed. I decided to leave her alone since I was not good at comforting and decided to have a bath. 

"Please don't go back and don't leave me here alone " She said though her silent sobs as I was about to leave for the shower. I looked into her eyes and saw that she was undeniably broken and it killed me to see her like this.

I turned and gave her a kiss on her forehead "I'll stay" I said with a soft smile.

"I'll shower and be back. Do you want to eat something" I asked her and she mouthed no.

By the time I had shower and went back Emma was asleep. I decided to let her sleep and turned to the living room and called Bryan and told him everything and told him to bury the guys death body.

And I turned to sleep on the couch tired and exhausted by the past week. It wasn't hard to fell asleep with Emma in the next room to me.

 After a while I felt my arm being held up and I didn't run into an attack position since I smelled Emma. I just wanted to know what she was gonna do so I acted to still be asleep. She picked up my right arm and slide into my arms and she placed my hand on her waist.

I took a sniff of her scent and fell asleep peacefully after a long time. I wish things could have been the way they are right now from the start but anyways they are slow escalating. 

We both got up when we heard loud continuous banging on the door. I got up and so did Emma and I went to open the door.

"Where is my daughter ?" A lady who I remember as Emma's mother appeared on the door and questioned me.

"Mom" Emma mouth in a whisper and the women's eyes landed on Emma

"What are you doing with this man he killed your childhood bestfriend and here you are in the cabin with him. How can you even stay in the company of this man ?" She said walking upto where Emma was and yelled at her. Ryder was practically growling inside and scratching to come outside and teach this women a lesson who was trying to make our mate go against us but I kept him inside not wanting to turn the situation into something bizarre whic would result into Emma to run again away from me.

"Mom you can't just suddenly run into me and accuse my Mate and my Alpha" Emma said with anger laced to her tone. The sentence leaving me and my wolf surprised and proud to know that our mate chose our side.

"I can't believe what this man had turned my daughter into" She said looking at me accusingly and Emma growled.

"You suddenly care so much about your daughter, don't you? But where were you all this months not a single phone call from you neither from father. Just because I was no more on your land and Alexander turned out to be my mate you cut all your ties with me" Emma practically yelled frustratingly and tears began to come out of her eyes. I ran to her side and she cried by my side.

"And for your information Dave tried to rape me and so Alexander killed him. You just came here to arrogantly accuse my mate based of the rumors you heard. Even you listened to what they told you didn't you? and It disgusts me that I was one of you. And where is my father didn't he care enough to come to meet his own daughter or am I no more your daughter because Alexander is my mate" Emma said different kind of emotions Anger, hurt, sadness, disappointment all were visible in her tone. And if this lady wasn't her mother I would have killed her by now.

"So what did this monster did to you? you are not my daughter infact my daughter died the day she walked out with this man. You are dead for me and your father" Emma's mom said.

"You know what just leave" Emma growled at her mother and her mother left.

I hold Emma from the side and she started sobbing on my chest. I slide my arm though her to make her calm. I sat her on the couch and went to get a glass of water for her.

She drank it all and I again held her in my arms and tried to calm her down. Both of us silent and the silent comforting us and calming her down.

She looked up from my chest and into my eyes. 

" Alexander I don't want to stay here even for a single second anymore I wanna go back to the mansion" She said between her sobs. She hugged me and sat on my lap and I held her in my arms cradling her.
