i screwed one of my eyes open gently and looked around the room
it was unfamiliar to me, i went to sit up but pain shot through my whole body
"fuck" i groaned
"ashton!"
i looked over to see calum with red eyes, it looked as if he had been crying
"babe i'm so sorry. i shouldn't have kicked you out. i was so worried"
i sighed and gripped his hand with my own, as i did, calum's face lit up
there was a sudden knock at the door and we both looked up
a man in a white doctor coat walked in
"hello mr.irwin, good to see you awake"
i forced a smile in respond. behind him walked in a police officer and a man in a black suit
"what is this?" i questioned
"we just have a few questions for you if that's alright"
i nodded hesitantly, i didn't know what they needed to ask
calum got up and left, claiming i needed my privacy
"can you explain to me what happened?" the man in the black suit asked
"i fell."
"mr.irwin we know for a fact you didn't fall. your injuries are too serious."
" i has just woke up and i fell down my stairs!"
the men in the room looked at each other
"mr.irwin would you like me to call any family of yours? like a parent?"
"no!" i yelled, a bit louder that i should had
the man in the black suit nodded at the police officer
"did you parents do this to you?"
my mouth gaped open
"w-what?"
"mr.irwin we can help you, you just need to be honest with us."
my eyes started to fill with tears, threatening to fall
"uh i-i-i"
"mr.irwin. please."
"my dad. it was my dad."
