My existence was hated.
It was dark and cold. He could hear silent weeps beside him. She wept and wept. He opened his eyes. It was this dream again. He always had this dream. It would never go away. It was the essence of his existence. A soft, harsh reminder. He rememorised the deteriorating room. The shaggy apartment room was the same as ever; from the peeled, moldy walls to the scarce rotting furniture that scattered the room and to the wailing woman on the dust coated bed. He took a step like he always did. The woman turned back, and in between sobs she cried, "I wish you were never born."
My existence was hated.

"Die! Jason Walker!"
Jason woke up. He yawned. What was once a lovely nap was utterly ruined. He had found a nice shady spot in the yard of Nocens High beside a tree where a nice breeze constantly blew. But now he was surrounded by ten angry students. "We are the Soul Searchers Gang and we are here to avenge our leader!" yelled one suicidal member. Jason cocked his head. Who were they again? The Soul Searchers simultaneously charged at him.
Jason walked away from the pile of unconscious bodies. He stifled a yawn.

Jason found another spot to continue his disturbed nap. The other side of the tree. He lay there, hands behind head, feeling the grass prickle his skin and the cool wind wash over him. Just as he was about to fall asleep, he felt a hand approach his face. He immediately grabbed it and twisted the arm behind the figure's back. He heard a light squeal.
"OW! OW! Jason let go!" pleaded Aurelia in mock pain.
Jason sighed, "What are you doing here?" He released his grasp on her wrist. She plopped down beside him. She fought back a laugh, remembering what she was going to discuss with him. "Are you considered a loner too?" she asked cracking into a full blown laughter. She couldn't stop laughing. Jason Walker, the future leader of the Shadow Demon Mafia was called by his fellow students a 'loner.' But the really funny thing is, the word suited Jason perfectly. Jason gritted his teeth in annoyance, finally showing another emotion than his usual poker face. "So? You are too," he said, over-pronouncing the 'you.'
Aurelia chuckled haughtily, "Not anymore!"
"What unfortunate gang took you in?" countered Jason.
Aurelia stood up and towered over Jason. "As the leader of the H.E.L.P gang, I kindly force you to join the gang," she said.
"No," he said bluntly.
His rejection left her totally flabbergasted. "What! Why not? We need strong members and plus I'm not asking you, I'm forcing you," said Aurelia.
"I'm not interested and what kind of stupid name is that," he said standing up. Aurelia faltered back.
"Why?" she whined.
"It's with that Max guy right?"
"Yeah, so what?"
"He annoys me."
"Of course he annoys you, everyone annoys you!"
Jason started to walk back to class.
"Wait Jason! Lets make a bet!" yelled Aurelia. He paused in his steps. "If I win, you have to join the gang and if you win I'll let you off the hook. If we draw we'll decide using scissors papers rock."
"Are you challenging me?" inquired Jason, turning his head back to his fiancée.
Aurelia smirked, "We have two hours, the person to defeat the most students wins!"
Jason's passive face turned serious in the face of the challenge. The side of his lips curled up. He pointed to the clump behind the tree. "I'm already 10 students ahead of you," he said.
Aurelia smiled, "Oh, we'll see."

You can guess that afternoon was filled with panicked students running around, trying to understand why there were so many disappearences of their fellow classmates and then finding them laying in an unconscious clusters. When they would wake, they would say they saw a 'demon.' Others would say they felt a 'reaper' taking their souls. Fear enveloped the school. Many of them cowered in fear, Jason Walker has finally cracked and went crazy. A lot of the students saw him sweeping up the students. Usually, he stayed passive and did nothing unless disturbed, but for some reason now he was defeating everyone one by one. Unknown two them, half of it was also the secret work of Aurelia Bennet.
Jason effortlessly knocked out another group of students. He was hunting them gang by gang. He would appear out of nowhere, they would recognise him, he would take them down in a second. It had already been 1 hour and a half. "168 students," he counted, punching the next one in the face.
Unlike Jason, Aurelia targeted the loners and some gang members that were hanging by themselves. She couldn't risk being seen and recognised in a crowd. She would sneak behind her victims, strike them, they would fall never knowing who got to them. "152," she said. Aurelia clicked her tongue. She was at a disadvantage with Jason's head start and her restrictions. She had to speed things up. She ran to her next target.
High up in the trees, through the cracked windows, a girl with an umbrella watched.

Two hours was up. Aurelia and Jason stood outside, face to face with eachother. Curious students gathered around them, thinking that Jason's next target was Aurelia Bennet.
"So Jason, how did you go?" asked Aurelia with a smile.
Jason sneered at her sickly act. "215," he said.
"215," replied Aurelia, "I guess we have to let chance decide your fate."
Both took their fists out. The tension grew in the crowd around them.
"Scissors, paper, rock!" they said in unison. The whole crowd all face palmed.
It ended in one go. One held out a fist, the other held out a paper.
"Hehe, looks like I win," giggled Aurelia and once again had to stifle a laugh. The look on Jason's face was priceless.
Jason groaned in annoyance, "Fine, I'll be part of you stupid gang."
The crowds all looked back in shock. Jason Walker, one of the most renowned loners in the school has joined a gang. The H.E.L.P gang.

"Hey Max! I got ourselves a new member!" said Aurelia cheerfully, kicking the door to the empty classroom open.
"Oh really? Great!" said Max, putting his hand up, greeting Aurelia. Max froze.
"I got Jason Walker to join!" cheered Aurelia, smirking back at her fiancé. Jason grimaced.
"What! The emo guy?" whined Max. That's right Max didn't like Jason either.
"Did you say something, idiot?" retorted Jason.
"What did you call me?" said Max, anger boiling to the Max, "you wanna go?"
"I'll be glad to," said Jason, cracking his knuckles.
Sparks flew between Jason and Max. Aurelia chuckled. This was definitely going to be interesting.
