Chapter 39

(Astrid's pov)

I layed down in my bed,looking at the ceiling.I was tossing and turning my body while thinking about today.Its prom.Everybody must had already wore their tuxes and dresses.And went to school earlier as they couldn't contain their excitement.I tossed the other way round when suddenly a knock was heard.I got up from my bed and opened the door.I saw my aunt holding a pink letter in her hands.She gave it to me and went down.I closed it back and sat on my bed.I looked at it closely and saw my name on it.It says it was from him.I closed my eyes and opened the letter.I red it until the end.I then went to put it on my bedside table and sat down back.So that was the truth.I felt guilty to not pick up those calls or neither to read those messages.I bit my lower lip and decided to whether to go to it or to not.I then took a leap of faith to make the decision.I got off my bed and went to take a shower.I chose the most beautiful dress that I had in my closet and wore some makeup.After that,I went downstairs to tell both my uncle and auntie that ill be going to prom.They lent me their car keys.And I was already off to school.

(Hiccup's pov)

This was it.We're all already win line with our partners.And well of course,Heather is my partner.Everybody was ordered to take their positions.The boys hands on the hip and girls on our shoulders.Heather was just,excited.She was dancing closer to me as we moved.Suddenly we heard a creak.We all stopped and look around.I heard pupil gasping.And soon enough,I found out what was it.The girl walked forward as the students made way for her.The blonde haired angel stopped in front of us.I was shocked.But she smiled.I let go of Heather and went to her.I couldn't believe she came.Astrid looked so beautiful in her loose hair and makeup.Her sparkling blue dress matches her eyes perfectly.We started dancing.Heather on the other hand,started complaining.But I ignored her.We were swaying to the rythm of the music on the floor.The others also started dancing.We were in the middle of the dance floor.

"I see that you've decided to come m'lady,"

"Well I decided to after receiving that letter of yours,"

"I feel so happy to have you back,"

"Me too,"

And at that moment,we both leaned in.I could feel those soft lips rested against mine.I pulled her closer to me by wrapping my arms around her waist and her hands were on my neck.We then pulled away and looked at each other.

"I love you,"

"I love you too Hofferson...."
