The small group continued running for who knows how long. Sprinting as fast as they could, their lungs burning, begging for air, trying desperately to get as far away from their attackers as possible.
Eventually, though they had to stop, due to lack of oxygen. "Are they...did he we lose t-them?" Louis panted out as he leaned his hands on his knees and vaguely gestured behind him.
"I-I think so," Clementine answered, also panting from all the running. She and the newcomer were still holding Felix up and he wasn't looking good. His usual pale complexion had somehow gone paler and he was sweating. 'Shit, I think he has a fever.' Clementine thought.
"We need to help him first." The newcomer spoke up as he started to lean Felix against a tree, Clementine following suit. "Do you have any antibiotics?"
"Yes...but their at the house." Clementine groaned. "Goddammit." She almost yelled, but held as to not alert the people chasing them.
"Clem, calm-" Violet tried but was cut off by Clementine who had turned around and punched a tree. She didn't seem affected by it surprisingly, as she lowed her hand and leaned her head against the tree.
"We're not letting him die." She muttered to all of them. They were all still shocked by her outburst, but they kept quiet.
"And we won't." The newcomer reassured her. She turned around and glared at him.
"You don't know that, James." She growled out. James sighed and walked over to Felix to try and stop the bleeding.
Clementine averted her gaze to Felix who was weakly trying to keep his head up. Her features softened and she walked over and crouched beside him. "Your gonna be alright, Fe." She tried to reassure him, he wasn't convinced though and honestly, Clementine wasn't sure if she believed herself.
Felix faintly smiled. "We'll see." He weakly mumbled to her.
"We need to get out of here," Clementine muttered. She turned around with a determined look on her face. "Tend to Felix. I'm going to try and figure out how to find our way home." Violet gave her a nod, along with Louis and they started to help James tend to Felix's wound.
Clementine knew the woods like the back of her hand, so she knew she'd be able to figure a way to get out of them out of there. They just had to make it out before whoever the hell had been chasing them caught up.

"How's he looking?" Clementine asked as she walked towards the group that was helping patch Felix up.
"Better. But he has a fever and needs antibiotics, now." James said as he stood up. "So, have you figured out how to get us out of here?"
"Yes, I have." She turned around and started to point out the path they needed to go down. "There's an old path down here. Me and Felix use it once in a while. It'll lead us to some old back roads, we can take those to get back to the house." She turned back around and walked over to Felix, who was looking at least a little better. "Come on, Fe." She grunted a little as she put his arm over her shoulder, James following suit.
They walked in silence, the only sound the leaves crunching under their feet and the groans of pain fro Felix. Felix. He was Clementine's main priority. Saving him. He had been like her brother for almost three years. Seeing him go down like that had lit a fire inside Clementine, she wasn't going to stop until she found the bastards that had shot him and kill every last one of them.
"Any idea who those guys were?" Violet asked after a long moment of silence.
Clementine shook her head. "No actually. I thought I did but I don't think it's who I thought."
"Who did you think it was?" Violet asked, curious.
"I, uh, I thought it was The Elite." She answered hesitantly.
Violets head snapped in Clementine's direction, her eyes wide. "Do you still think they are?" She asked with a shake in her voice.
"I...I'm not sure," She answered truthfully. She wanted to believe that it wasn't but she truly wasn't sure. They had run into a few other groups before, but they had always gotten away. 'Hopefully, we can get away this time, too.' Clementine thought. A frown tugged at her lips as she thought of not being able to. What would happen to them? Would whoever was chasing them kill them? So many questions swarmed her mind she felt like it was going to explode. Instead of thinking about it more thought she just shook her head and pushed forward.
They fell into a silence, once again the only sound the crunching of leaves under their boots and the small breeze blowing the trees. After about an hour of walking, they finally made it to the road, all of them sighing with relief.
"Thank god we're finally here." Louis breaths out.
"We can celebrate later, we need to get home. Now." She emphasized. She looked over at Felix with fear coating her features. Just moments before he had been laughing and talking, and now, now he was pale and his skin was sticky. Looking half dead already. She was snapped out of her thoughts by a hand on her shoulder. She jumped at the touch, her head snapping behind her only to find a concerned looking Violet.
"Are you okay?" She asked, concern lacing her voice.
"I should be." She said whilst forcing a smile.
"He'll be alright," Violet assured.
"I hope so..." Clementine mumbles as they began their walk down the long, long road.

They had been walking for two hours before Felix collapsed. He had been looking horrible, sweaty and pale, but it was only now that he finally collapsed.
Clementine ran over to him and dropped to her knees. The sky was beginning to darken and they didn't have much a window to get home. The 'bandits' or whatever they are were still tracking them down. They had to sprint to cover multiple times due to gunfire, it was only a matter of time before they caught up to the small group of five.
"Felix?!" Clementine used her fingers to check for his pulse, and luckily it was there, but it was faint. "He still has a pulse but it's weak." She informed the group. "We need to get those antibiotics and fast."
"Well, we can't stay here." James quietly spoke up. He stepped forward and in front of the group as all eyes turned to him. "Those people are still following us and the gunfire has been attracting walkers."
"Wow, really, James. I had no fucking idea." Clementine hissed out and shot him a glare. "Help m-" She was cut off by a weak cough and a voice below her.
"Clem, stop being so hard on him." Felix weakly mumbled out. He coughed a few times before continuing. "He's only trying to help." He licked his lips and looked up at Clementine, shooting her a weak smile.
Clementine pulled her bag off her shoulder and took her water bottle out. "Here." She brought it to Felix's lips, tilting it forward lightly for him to drink.
Once he had enough she pulled it away. "Thanks," Felix said with a small smile.
Clementine smiled back faintly as she put the water bottle away. "We're gonna have to carry him." She said to the group behind her. "James, help me out?" She asked, smiling at him apologetically.
James smiled back and nodded faintly. "Of course." He walked to Clementine, crouching down and lifting him up. One arm under his legs and the other under his neck. "I've got him." He said as Clementine tried to help him.
"Alright, let's go." With that, they continued walking down the winding road.
A/N: I'm not sure how I feel about this chapter but oh well. Hope you enjoyed nonetheless.
