A drink

I walk out of my room after inspecting every last inch of it. I wouldn't want to find a surprise later on. It seems like no one has used the room before and I'm glad because of that. I walk back out of the room and knock on the door saying 'Angel Dust'. Angel opens up. "What do you think of your room?" he asks, standing in the door way.

"It's very fancy, I like it a lot. Thank you for showing me the way. Which way do I need to go to get a drink?" I answer him, also asking the question I was meaning to ask.

"Into the elevator and press the 0, you will get back to the lobby. On the opposite side of the lobby is a bar, you should be able to grab a drink and something to eat there," he answers me.

"Thanks a lot, Angel. Anything I can do to repay you for your help?" I ask him.

"You don't need to, friends help eachother out right?" Angel says, smiling at me. I nod and smile back.

"I'm happy to have a friend here in hell, I don't think it's a place which is safe to be in all alone," I reply.

"It's not, I'm going out tonight so I'm going to continue getting ready. Don't go with strangers and never accept drinks from people you don't know. If you're drink suddenly smells funny, ask for a new one. Don't bother paying, no one does!" Angel says before walking back in. "Bye!"

"Bye and thank you!" I quickly say before the door closes again. I turn to face the elevator and walk down the long hallway. I wonder how the bar looks like Angel spoke about. I press the little round button next to the elevator and a minute later an empty elevator is opening before me. I step in and press the 0, going down at a high speed. It's like the elevator falls down without a brake, I try gripping onto the walls but still lose my balance and when the elevator finally stops falling I lay on my tummy on the floor of the elevator.

"Well, hello there, (Y/N). How did you end up on the floor?" a static voice asks. I recognise it and when I look up I can see Alastor, the radio demon from earlier. I get up and quickly step out of the elevator which goes back up.

"I think there is something wrong with the elevator, it fell down instead of slowly going down," I answer, dusting off my clothes.

"No, that's how elevators work here. I assume this was your first time going down in hell?" Alastor asks.

"Yes, I went to the first floor with Charlie and the second floor with Angel but this was my first time going down with the elevator," I answer, looking up at the tall man before me. I barely reach his shoulders with my head.

"Well, may I ask what brings you here?" Alastor asks me, looking down on me. He somehow seems intimidating, although he also seems polite and nice. I don't really know what to think of Alastor.

"I wanted to grab a drink and something to drink. Angel told me there was a bar around here," I answer his question honestly. I know there are people here which can use magic so I think I can better be carefull not to lie to anyone. Not until I know for sure what their kind of magic is and how this magic works. I wouldn't want a fight because I lied, being certain I will lose.

"That's wonderfull! (Y/N), would you mind if I joined you?" Alastor asks.

"I don't mind," I answer. His face seems to light up a bit and his grin grows even wider if that is possible. Alastor holds out his hand this me, looking at me with a sign of expectation in his eyes. I lift my hand and doubt for a second but before I can decide he takes my hand and pulls me with him to the bar. He holds up my hand like you see in these old movies and drags me after him to the bar. There are a few demons sitting around the bar, drinking and being joly. Some look like they can break down the place any moment and others have passed out in corners of the room. There is a female demon, which looks like a snake, singing on a stage which says in big neon letters: 'Karaoke!'. The room has dimmed lights and the colored light beams seem to be coming from everywhere, how bad I try, I can't find the source of the light.

"What would you like to drink?" Alastor asks, sitting down at the bar.

"Some water is okay," I answer, looking around the bar. Suddenly a static laugh fills the room and I quickly look at Alastor. "D-Did I miss anything?" I ask him.

"No, dear. I think you don't quit yet understand where you are. This is hell, we don't serve water. You can have a drink with alcohol in it or go to the supermarket yourself, but believe me, you don't wanna go to the supermarket at this hour," Alastor answers me.

"W-well... I never really drank alcohol so I wouldn't know-" I start, being cut off by the radio demon screaming at the bar tender.

"One whiskey for me and a spritzer! The spritzer is for you, (Y/N)," he yells. (A/N: I am not at home in alcoholic drinks so I searched the internet for low alcoholic drinks. I am sorry XD)

"Alright, thank you," I quickly answer, looking at the bar tender, preparing our drinks. He puts them down a second after before us and Alastor holds up his whiskey.

"Cheers, dear!" he says, before taking a sip.

"Cheers," I repeat after him before taking my own drink and taking a sip. I've always learned it's not formal to drink alcohol but there is nothing else around here and I can't stay like this. I'm thirsty and hungry. I take up the glass and take a sip, it actually tastes pretty good. I take a second and a third sip, enjoying the taste more and slowly losing the thought of being informal...
