~(y/n)'s pov~
My mom, me, and my brother moved, mostly because of how mean and rude kids were at my old school in (h/t). My mom decided that moving to a different town and me going to a different school would be better for me. I was upset about it mostly because I wouldn't be able to see my best friend at school. She was the one reason I didn't mind going to school for.
But all that changed since we moved. We arrived at our new house during the weekend (Saturday) so I didn't have to worry about school the next day. My weekend would consist of me just unpacking my stuff and my brothers stuff as well as help mom with my brother so he wouldn't be in the way.
My brother (b/n) was 5 (turning 6 soon) and my mom (m/n) worked at a restaurant. I would pick my brother up after school because my mom wouldn't be able to because of her job. Which I didn't mind because he was a pretty calm kid when he wasn't hyper.
(time skip to Monday because nothing fun about unpacking)
I could hear my alarm clock go off. I would set my alarm for an hour and a half before I needed to head to school. Only to get ready then I needed to get my mom and brother up. Doing my morning routine, which consisted of shower, get dressed, brush hair, get family up, breakfast, brush teeth, grab my stuff, and then drop off my brother then head to school. I know it sounds like a lot in just an hour and a half. But my mom and me take turns making breakfast, depending on who has more time on that day. My brother can't make breakfast because he's to young right now but we don't mind
Me and (b/n) walked outside after giving mom a hug and kiss. Our mom works hard to support us. I take care of my brother to help her while she is busy. Sometimes my brother can be a bit older for his age. Hint I said sometimes, not always. But we know he means well.
My brother got dropped off a few minutes ago, so it was just me on my way to school. Except, when I got there, I noticed something wrong with it. They spelled school wrong. It was spelled 'skool' 'okay? That is not how you spell school, but I bet they are just to lazy to fix it'.
Walking into the building, the first place I went to was the office. They asked for my name. I gave it to them. They gave me my schedule, which just showed my locker number/combo and one classroom. I walked out of the office and headed towards it.
Opening the door the teacher looked at me and gave me a glare, which honestly made me confused, not scared. She told me to say my name then she didn't want to hear another word from me. So I introduced myself "um, hello, my name is (y/n) (l/n). It's, uh, nice to meet you all" I was never one for introductions or speaking in front of a class.
"Your seat is right next to Zim. Zim raise your hand!" Her yelling made me flinch because it was out of nowhere.
"Zim is here!" The boy named Zim raised his hand. His skin was green and he had no ears or nose. But I didn't care because of my moms saying 'don't judge a person by how they look'.
Sitting next to Zim, the teacher started to rant the same word over and over again 'doom', so i decided to draw in my sketch book, which I keep with me at all times.
(the sketch you drew ^ not my own drawings, just pretend the last guardian (game) and how to train your dragon (show) is in here. Can't put a Zim picture as a drawing yet because you don't really know Zim that much. Back to the story)
As soon as I finished the last sketch the bell rang for lunch. I put my sketch book away and walked out of the classroom to have someone walk right in front of me
"Stay away from Zim" it was a boy with glasses and black hair that looked a bit like a scythe. He had a coat and his shirt had a face with a blank expression on it.
"And why should I?" I gave him a questioning look. Confused on why I'm not allowed to go near the boy named Zim
"Because he's an alien!"
"Uh huh, sure he is" I didn't believe him because I'm guessing this kid judged him based on looks like other people do, or he just reads way to much into the paranormal. Either way I didn't care.
Walking away from him he followed after me not giving up on convincing me about the alien thing. "Its true! Ill prove it!"
"Look kid I don't know you, and to be frank. I couldn't care less if he's an alien or not an alien. Leave me alone" again I walked away from him and headed to the cafeteria still.
I got my tray of the so called 'food' and looked for a seat. I did notice that Zim was sitting alone, as well as the boy from earlier waving his hand out for me to go sit with him and a purple haired girl.
Not wanting to sit next to the other kid, I decided to sit next to Zim instead. I was sitting across from Zim when he looked up at me with a confused/glare. "Why are you sitting next to Zim?"
"Because I can, and it's a free country" I said while poking at my 'food'. The food didn't look right so I decided not to eat any of it. Not caring if I'd be hungry till I get home
"Did Dib-worm set you up to this?" Zim gave me an even bigger glare, if I knew that was even possible
"No, and 'Dib-worm'? Who's that?" I just gave him a confused look as he pointed at the boy from earlier "oh, him. Nah, I sat here on my own free will"
"Hmm. Why?"
"Because 1) I didn't want to sit near Dib and hear about his alien ranting. 2) because there is nowhere else to sit" deciding to draw after saying all that I pulled out my sketch book again.
It was silent for awhile till Dib yelled that Zim was an alien again, and Zim yelling at Dib saying 'LIES!'. I again couldn't care less, until, I saw a piece of meat being thrown at Zims face.
He started to scream and run around like he was in pain. "See I told you (y/n) that he's an alien!" I was confused on why the meat was hurting Zim but that didn't give Dib the right to throw it at him.
"Don't waste food, Dib" was all I said to Dib. When Zim ran by me I grabbed his arm causing him to stop and whipped the liquid from the meat (not that kind you pervs XD) off of Zim. He stopped screaming in pain and patted all over his face to make sure there was no more meat liquid on him.
After he was certain there was none on him he sighed and glared at Dib. He ran after him still mad he got meat thrown on him.
The bell rang telling us it was time to go home. Walking out of the building. I didn't notice Zim following me, or that Zim lived near me.
I picked my brother up from his school, but my brother noticed Zim before I did "big sis?"
"Yeah, (b/n)?" Looking at him wondering what he wanted.
"Who's that kid following us?" (b/n) pointed behind us while looking in that direction as well.
I looked behind us and I saw Zim. Confused on why he was following us I shouted to him "Zim!"
"Huh?" The said boy looked at us confused.
"Why are you following us?"
"Zim is not following you, humans. Zim is going home, like other normal humans do"
Raising my eyebrow in confusion, confused on how he talks "okay? Come on (b/n), we need to get home" (b/n) gave a simple ok and we kept walking home.
I noticed that Zim kept going the way we were. Still confused on why that is, until my brother and me got home. Seeing Zim head to a house a bit different than the others with garden gnomes and fish's in his yard, as well as a flag that said 'I love earth'. It made me curious. Shrugging if off. Me and (b/n) went inside our house.
Once we were inside. (b/n) did his homework, I made dinner. Mom got home and ate with us. We did our own thing then headed to bed.
There was one thing I couldn't get mind off of, and that was Zim and my curiosity about him. With Zim filling my head with questions I fell asleep wondering about him.
