Chapter 2

"I'm so mad at myself. I feel like hating myself instead of you, and I don't know if that's possible. Because I convinced myself I was over you and now I know it was all pretend. I pretended I didn't look at you when you didn't notice I was. I pretended not to light up when you entered a room. I pretended I didn't look forward to seeing you everyday. I pretended I wasn't hurt when you left. I pretended I didn't miss you. Now all these lies showed me I missed you more than ever"

~Months later~

12:26 am

I turned 17 seven months ago. I haven't had the guts to call richie all this time. I keep thinking about him, I don't understand why. It's making me crazy.

I went downstairs, my mom was on the couch, I could tell she was fighting her sleep, though it looked like she couldn't. It's hard to explain she looked so out of it. I ignored it.

"What are you doing?" She asked standing up. "I'm just getting some water" I smiled at my mom who gave me a disgusted look. I looked at her in confusion, what did I do?

"You look like your father" she scoffed "you should leave" I don't understand why she gets like this sometimes. It's getting more frequent, its not like her. "OK I'll go upstairs" I said sadly. "No leave the fucking house" she yelled as she grabbed her purse grabbing a pill bottle, a straw, a credit card and mascara. She took out a pill an started smashing the pill with mascara. "Mom its midnight I can leave"

"I said leave!" She screamed as she threw a lamp towards me, while spilling her crushed pills. "Look what you made me fucking do leave this house now" i got some shoes and ran out of the house.

*third person pov*

He walked to a gas station and went to the side of it. Pulling out his phone crying.

Richie

"Can you take off your shirt" the brunette girl said to Richie in between kisses. Richie stopped the kiss and took off his shirt, then hers. He continued kissing her passionately.

He felt a strong vibration coming from his phone next to him, they continued kissing as it kept ringing and ringing "oh my god can you just answer" the girl said getting a little annoyed. Richie swiped right to answer his phone.

"Hello" Richie said annoyed

"Richie? Its eddie" Eddie said through sobs. "Hey what's wrong eds" richie asked noticing the panic and sadness in his voice "my mom was uh doing pills and she kicked me out I have no one else to call I'm sorry if I'm bothering you, you can hang up if you want" he choked through his sobs.

"Hey, I'm coming right now where are you?" Eddie explained where he was before thanking richie and hanging up.

"Where are you going baby?" The brunette asked kissing Richie neck "please leave I'm doing something" richie said getting up and getting dressed "wow OK then" she said angrily getting up grabbing her shit and leaving.

Richie got there in 25 minutes. He looked around the building to find Eddie sitting against the wall on the side if the building. "Eds" Eddie looks up to see richie, joy filled his eyes to not be in the cold weather at night where there were a lot of crackheads trying to talk to eddie. He ran to Richie hugging him "thank you for coming" eddie sighed in relief. "Of course anything for you" they walked to Richie's car and drive off.

"Are you hungry?" Eddie shook his head no in response.

Richie was very handsome it was hard for Eddje to try not to blush everytime Ritchie even looked at him.

"I'm so sorry for bothering you Richie" The small boy looked down. "Are you serious i would drop anything to help you especially if you had no where to go" richie stopped the car in front of an apartment building and looked at Eddie. "did you have to drop anything for me now" eddie looked into richies eyes "uh yeah i was with a girl" Richie responded as eddie looked down.

He shouldn't be upset richie wouldn't want to date him, he's 25 years old with a life of his own. Richie saw the sadness in Eddie's eyes. It hurt Richie knowing that Eddie was hurting, he couldn't exactly understand why. He lifted Eddies chin to look at him in the eyes. "Like i said i would do anything for you sweety"

That repeated in Eddie's head. It made his heart flutter. He smiled at Richie. "That actually means a lot thank you" Eddie smiled up at richie. "Lets go inside yeah?" Richie opened the car door and walked out, Eddie did the same.
