Author's POV
It was rainy, well more like shitty monday morning. It was time for school Chaewon thought as her alarm rang in her ears so she would get ready. Chaewon really didn't want to go to school today. It was National Find your soulmate day and since her school cares so much about the importance of having one even if you were born with a tattoo, they had to try and find there soulmates.Chaewon had already found hers. Son Hyejoo her best friend...that was born without a tattoo. Even though Hyejoo thought it was bullshit when Chaewon told her a year ago, the thought never left her mind.
The teachers at her school told her that people can have the names of people that was born without a tattoo on their wrist and as they start to catch feelings for the hidden soulmate their tattoo starts to appear. Hopefully, that will happen to them
Hopefully
Chaewon walked down the stairs ready to eat her breakfast as she saw her mother sitting at the table. Chaewon looked confused as to why her mother was up this early.
It's 6:53?
She thought. Chaewon walked down to the table and tapped her mothers hand.
"Mom?" Chaewon asked as her mother looked up to meet her confused daughters eyes. "Why are you up so early?" Chaewon's mother softly smiled. "I wanted to see you before you went to school. I know how much you dread this holiday and I wanted to tell you that you will find your soulmate. I'm sure of it." I smiled and I looked down on my wrist and creased my tattoo.
"I hope so too mom."
Chaewon made her breakfast and ate it up quickly as she was almost late to school. Chaewon got her stuff and met her friends at the bus stop.
"There you are! Gosh, you are so slow. You almost miss the bus." Jiwoo complained. Sooyoung rolled her eyes. "Ignore her, she woke up on the wrong side of the bed today." Sooyoung joked. I chuckled when Jiwoo started whinning about Sooyoung's comment.
Lovebirds.
Chaewon looked around and saw that Hyejoo wasn't there. "Where is Hyejoo?" Jiwoo looked up and noticed it too. "Oh my gosh, she isn't here! I wonder why it was so quiet? Sooyoung and her aren't bickering." Jiwoo laughed at her own comment. "W-we don't bicker-"
"Yes you do." I cut her off. "You guys can't go 2 hours without arguing about some stupid thing." Sooyoung tried to say something back she knew deep down that I was right. I'm always right.
As the bus came, we all boarded the bus, without Hyejoo. I sat in my seat and sighed.
Guess I'll be sitting alone.
As we came to the next the stop more and more couples joined. Chaewon rolled her eyes at all the lovey dovey shit they were saying to each other, especially at the starights.
Starights. Tsk tsk.
As last stop came, she looked outside the window to see Yeojin. By herself. Even though she always sits with Haseul. Yeojin boarded the bus with sad face until she saw Chaeaon sitting alone. Yeojin sat right nex to her. "Chaewonie unnie!" Chaewon turned around smiled. "Yeojin! Where is haseul? Is she not here today?" I asked. Yeojin shook her head and shrugged. "I don't know. Haseul unnie never misses a day of school. Especially on her favorite holiday." Yeojin leaned back and sighed. "This is a stupid holiday anyways. My soulmate is my best friend she's clueless. Why are people born without tattoo's anyways."
