Hyejoo woke up as if last nights events never happened. Yes the 'n' was still on her wrist but she didn't think anything of it.
Of course.
Hyejoo was contemplating on weather she should stop by Chaewon's house or not. After what happened at school, she felt a little weird and unsure about everything lately. Almost as if she's drifting away. Hyejoo shook away her thoughts. She was clearly just thinking things at this point. Why the hell would there be anything wrong with Chaewon?
She still has her soulmate and they have concluded that the soulmate isn't her.
Right?
_"Hyejoo!!" Hyejoo walked over to Jiwoo and Sooyoung who were calling her name. "Chaewon isn't here?" Hyejoo asked, concerned as to why her best friend hasn't shown up yet. Jiwoo shook her head. "Chaewon hasn't been replying to out text messages since yesterday. It's like she vanished or something." Jiwoo stated. Sooyoung chuckled "Yeojin said that they video chatted last night. She'll be here." Jiwoo scoffed. "Are we just going to believe what Yeojin saids? She probably said that so that I wouldn't have gone crazy and called the police or something."
Hyejoo wasn't paying attention to what Jiwoo and Sooyoung bickering about. All she could think of was the friendship of Yeojin and Chaewon. They've gotten really close, ever since Hyejoo told Chaewon about her and Yerim. They sit together on the bus, are partners in every class. Even walk to class together.
"I'm just giving you space, so you can be with Yerim more."
Hyejoo rolled her eyes at the memory. Haven't you ever thought that maybe I would want to spend some time with you too? Hyejoo got out of her thoughts, she was going a little crazy. As if she was jealous of Yeojin and Chaewon.
"YAH PARK CHAEWON!" Jiwoo yelled. Hyejoo looked up to see her blonde best friend walked over to them with a big smile on her face. "Hey guys." Jiwoo was fuming "YAH WHAT THE HELL?! WHY DIDN'T YOU REPLY TO MY TEXT MESSAGES?! DO YOU KNOW HOW SCARED I WAS?!" Chaewon eyes widen. "Sorry, I just really want so time alone. I didn't want to talk to anyone." Jiwoo calmed down.
"Chaewon?" Hyejoo whispered. "Um, do you want to sit with me today? Yerim's out sick." Chaewon smiled and nodded. "Of course I will."
_
Hyejoo and Chaewon talked as if the past few days didn't happen. Chaewon was smiling and laughing as if her soulmate wasn't drifting away and disappearing slowly. Hyejoo was complaining and whining as if her tattoo wasn't appearing on her wrist. "Hey can I show you something? And promise you tell anyone?" Chaewon nodded. "You didn't like...murder someone did you? Cause like I can't be apart of that. You gotta get Hyunjin for that type of shit bro." Hyejoo chuckled. "No I didn't kill anyone. Not yet, Not now." Hyejoo lifted up her sleeve.
"Is that an..." Chaewon took her wrist and creased the 'n'. "Yerim's name doesn't have a 'n'." Chaewon stated looking at her wrist. "No, I already know what you're about to say." Chaewon rolled her eyes. "Well else could it mean?! It appears letter by letter, not in parts." Chaewon crossed her arms. "You're not my soulmate. I've had multiple crushes and I even loved some of them and your tattoo didn't disappear once." Chaewon looked down at her lap.
"It was because you didn't love them" she thought.
"Fine. Believe what you want. I don't want to talk about it." Chaewon looked at out the window. Hyejoo frowned while looking at her best friend. The blonde haired girl had a pout on her face. "Chaewon. Don't be like that." Chaewon looked at her. "What is so bad about me being your damn soulmate." Hyejoo looked down.
