While we were walking I felt really awkward. What should I do or say? I didn’t even dare to look at him. While I kept thinking all of this, he finally said something.

”So.. where are you from love?”

I was a bit baffled about him calling me love, until I remembered that this is Liverpool afterall. Apparently it’s normal to call the girls here love.

”London.” Was all I could say.

”Oh wow. Did you like it there? I’ve always wanted to go to London!” He said with a giggle that I just could smile at. His giggles were insanely cute.

”Yeah, London is great. Much bigger than Liverpool though.” I said, trying to smile a bit more.

”Why did you move here?” He said, while trying to be more serious.

”I don’t know. It was my parents’ decision I guess.”

I did know why. I just couldn’t tell him. Or not yet at least. And it was my mum that decided that we should move.

”Oh, alright. I hope you’ll enjoy Liddypool then!” He winked.

I giggled at him a bit before we stood in front of my house. He told me that he lived just a few houses away and joked about that I ended up in the best neighbourhood in Liverpool.

”It was nice to meet you Laura! I guess I’ll see you tomorrow? I’m sure we have classes together tomorrow aswell. Oh, and take care of your head.” He said patting my head lightly while he smiled.

”Nice too meet you too. Thank you Paul for taking care of me when I fell, and yeah, I’ll see you tomorrow.’’

”No problem! See you!” He waved at me.

When I came inside the house I quickly ran upstairs to my room. I couldn’t let my mum se my head like this. I went to my mirror in my room and saw that a lot of my hair was covered with blood. Shit. Paul saw me like this. Why was I thinking so much about him anyway? I just met him for christ’s sake. But there was just something about him. He was a teddy boy, but at the same time not.. I shaked the thoughts about him off me. Ugh, I just have to clean this mess up. I grabbed some cotton and something to cleanse with and began cleaning the wound. It hurt like hell, but the wound wasn’t too bad. I didn’t need to og to a doctor at least.

I took a quick shower and threw myelf on the bed.

After laying in my bed to relax for a while, I began to wonder why it was so quiet in the house. I went downstairs.

 ”mum?”

 No one was there.

I noticed a note and some money on the table in the living room.
