Part 7

Simons pov
We were in cave trying to get some rest, we have been fighting for 3 months now and lost a lot of men luckily none of my friends but we were all getting really tired and just wanted to go back home and be with our partners in a comfortable warm bed, "just 6 more months" David whispered next to me "yeah I can't wait for this to be over" I sighed "Are you guys ready for the ambush tomorrow?" Ant asked

"as ready as you can be when you are going to call an air strike on a base" I said

"yeah, must be scary cause if your an inch off we are kind of screwed" Dec joked

"oi have I ever been off?" I asked laughing

"yeah you have, so many times durning practice" Stephen laughed

"Says you, at least I got more times than I missed" I laughed

"you know he has a point" David laughed

"thank you David" I laughed

"have a little faith in me and my inability to actually see without glasses" I joked

"okay someone else is doing it" David joked

"ain't going to happen darling, they will only listen to my orders unless something happens to me" I joked everyone laughed.

"Night guys" Stephen said yawning we all said goodnight, I listened as all of them slowly started to fall asleep, 'I wonder what Amanda's doing now', 'I wonder how she is doing with out me there', 'oh god I miss her so much, I can't wait to see her again' 'I'm probably hug the shit out of her when I get back' I thought smiling to myself getting even more tired the more I thought, so I closed my eyes and drifted off into a light sleep.

I was the first person to wake up so I got up from my place on the floor, put on my cap and picked up my gun and quietly made my way out the cave the part of the cave we were in and went outside to see General Abdul smoking and drinking something "Morning General" I said sitting next to him

"Morning Simon" He said looking to me and offering me his cigarette, that I happily took a drag of before handing it back to him "how did you sleep?" He asked

"Fine, you?" I asked

"I slept alright" He said looking at me again, I nodded and looked out of the cliff and watched the sunrise, 'Amanda would love this view' I thought to myself with a smile on my face "what you thinking about?" He asked looking at me "my girlfriend, she would love this view" I smiled

"What's her name?" He asked looking at the sunrise "Amanda" I smiled "Has she met your family yet?" He asked "no, but when I get back I'm going to take her to meet them" I smiled

"Do your parents know about her at least?" He asked "yeah, I was going to introduce her to them but they said I must do it when I get back just so I know she will stay with me" I said softly "makes sense" he said "yup" I sighed going back to watching the sunrise in silence.

"I'm going to wake up the rest" I said getting up when the sun rose completely, he just nodded so I walked off to were the rest were still fast asleep. "Get your asses up" I said standing in the middle of the room and giving each of them a kick "piss off Simon" David mumbled "nope get up we have shit to do and we have to get going" I said kicking him again "I will fucking shoot you" He whined grabbing my foot so I couldn't hit him again "you can when you get your lazy ass up" I laughed "how are you even awake and laughing" Stephen whined "I don't know but all of you get up" I laughed freeing my foot from David's hold "Okay fine" Ant and Dec mumbled getting up "thank you" I smiled kicking David softly again "Simon I swear to fucking god" David laughed jumping up and tackling me to the floor "hey would you look at that your up" I joked trying to get out from under him, David just laughed and we got into a little wrestling match on the floor "wow guys" Stephen laughed finally getting up to see David and I giggling and wrestling "sometimes I wonder if you guys are just friends" Dec laughed "uh we aren't just friends, we are best friends" David joked while I pinned him to the ground and sat on his legs so he couldn't move "Are you sure?" Ant laughed watching us "yes we are" I laughed while David struggled under me "truce?" He asked laughing finally giving up "truce" I nodded with a grin, I got off him and stood up again and picked my cap back up that had fallen off in the middle of everything "well why are we waiting around let's go! Simon you always make us late" David joked marching out the room with his gun "fuck off" I laughed walking out with the rest

We all separated into smaller groups surrounding the enemies base, I was with General Abdul and a couple of his men, Ant and dec were together with some other men and Stephen and David were also together we other men. After I made sure my calculations were right and that the bomb would hit the middle were the tanks were I called in the air strike and watched as bombs fell and hit their base, a bunch of shouting was heard as they realized what was happening as building were getting destroyed next to them and so were their tanks, some of them spotted us and started shouting at us so we started to shoot back and make out way in just like the rest of the groups.

After about two hours it looked like everyone was dead except the ones that surrendered obviously, "Simon go look in that building and make sure there is nobody left" General Abdul ordered pointing to a building so I did once I got in I looked around for a bit until I felt a strong pain in the back of my head as something hit it and everything suddenly went black as the sound of a car starting was heard.
David pov
I heard the sound of a car speeding and everyone shouting so I looked up and saw one of the men speeding away in a car while people shot at him "Shit, Simon" I whispered making my way to the building that the car drove out of with Ant, Dec and Stephen to make sure Simon was okay, we opened the door and called Simons name but he didn't respond so we looked around for a bit until Dec called us over to him, I walked over nervously hoping that Simon was okay but when I got there, there was no Simon just a pool of blood and his gun "fuck" I whispered bending down to make sure it was his gun "is it his?" Ant asked "yeah, it's his" I sighed trying to hold back my tears at the thought of my best friend being taken hostage or possibly dead "we need to go tell the General" Stephen whispered sounding upset as well "you guys go, I'm going to see if his body is here" I sighed "I'll also look" Dec said, the other two nodded and ran out to tell Abdul about Simon.
