ESCAPE (ENGLISH POEMS)

NOT AGAIN

It all started by just tapping the sign, wave
No one expected that both the fragile would be saved
They've been so unconscious about the time
They enjoyed the conversation which was running so fine

Second day; someone decided to message the stranger
Everything went so smooth as if they've really known each other
Not less than 12 hours of talk as it becomes more longer
The girl treated the boy right and accept him but as a brother

Third day; good mornings were said to one another
Having coffee as if they were together
Through phones, no one's leaving home
By just typing words they were contented and have created their own dome

Fourth day; too long stories were absolutely shared
About selves, families, friends even the things they most likely to be compared
Updating each other wherever they go and whatever they do
Until such time that the boy assumes that there's something between them two

Fifth day; they talk until midnight
They both shared their worst from darkest to light
But the girl did judge as what the boy has confessed
Things run so confusing, the boy was speechless and somehow became a mess

On that day, questions are becoming more
The guy asked, "Do you love me?"
The girl was caught off guard
She said, "Of course...you're like a brother to me"

Sixth day; early in the morning the girl's phone was ringing for seconds
She didn't answer, she asked him by a text "Why are you calling?"
After seeing her message was already seen by the guy
She waited for about an hour but nothing, she got nothing as a response

Until now that she's writing the poem
Still, she wonders if what's going on
What happened? Why he didn't respond? Why he haven't texted her like he usually do?
Is everything okay?

Watery eyes with an overthinking mind
Tictocks of the clock are heard all over the room while she unwind
Confused and bothered at the same time
She's still waiting, I'm still waiting please give me a warning sign.
