He opened his eyes, finding himself in a lake as he sat down. It felt like a dream. Well, a terrible nightmare. He look around as he pull his hand to see the soul stone on his grasp. The memories of what happened a few minutes ago stirred in his very mind as he clenched his fist.

It should be him, it should be him who'll do it. But Natasha, his selfless, brave Natasha did it not just for the universe nor for everyone.. but because he has a family who'll be waiting for him.

He smacked the very ground with intense agony as tears stream down in cheeks. He kept on hitting the floor again as he screamed painfully, face down on the ground while sobbing intensely.

After the Battle

Clint walk towards the small lake before him. He closed his eyes as he remembered what happen to Natasha. After the events of the battle against Thanos, Stark's death punched him in the gut. It was more painful to think that two of his friends had died saving the universe and so is them.

Wanda walks her way towards him as he glanced at her while wiping the tear on his cheek. She stood beside him while moving her left hand to caress his back. Clint sniffed a bit as he looks down, staring at the water of the lake.

"We won".he said, glancing back at Wanda as she smiled softly, face filled with worry as she patted his back."I..i wish she knew, how much thankful i am to her.. s-she...".he looked down, in tears once more as Wanda held him close."It's alright, Clint.. she did what she have to do, you told me she had a past to heal.. and there she done it, redeemed herself by sacrificing herself to erase the red she'd been enduring".Wanda said as Clint closed his eyes to let the tears stream down in his cheek. Wanda comforted him as best as she could as they stood silently, watching the lake and feeling the soft breeze of the wind.

He stood still as he felt the continuous teardrops of rain pouring on the area. The scent of blood and death filled his nostrils as he pulled off his hood, putting back his katana on its case as he glanced at Natasha whose staring at him with bewilderment, worry and seriousness.

"You shouldn't have come..".he muttered, looking away as Natasha gulped a bit."I heard from Rhodes you've been.. around here".she said as Clint hissed a bit, looking down."I'm sorry i wasn't there when it happened".she said as she walk a step closer as he flinched a bit. The cold atmosphere filled the area as it sends shiver and guilt down his spine. The memories of his sudden family's death lingered him deeply."Whatever that is you came here, i've got nothing to help you... besides".he crack his knuckles as he turn his head to look at her.

"I have a job to do".

"Is this what you call it? A job?".Natasha snapped slightly as he flinched. Her voice poured a rampaging flood of guilt on him as he clenched his fist."We found something".she said as she stepped a little closer, he can almost feel her close to him.

"A way we can bring everyone back".she said as he closed his eyes, tears streamed his cheek as he look at her."Don't..".he muttered, letting it stream as Natasha stared with hurt and worry."Don't give me hope".he said as he looked down, crying the agony and hurt he is feeling as she moved closer, moving the umbrella inbetween them to guide him as she slowly move her hand to hold his in a comforting way.

"I'm here...".he opened his eyes as he gazed at her soft worried eyes.

"You're not alone anymore".

And that's how painful he felt upon seeing it on his very eyes that his first love, his best friend, the one that gave him hope, comforted him whenever he needs it and changed him died. She's the reason he's a better man and a better father to his children.

He snobbed intensely, moving his head to cry on Wanda's shoulder as she caressed his head. Wanda stared at the horizon before them, the sun shining brightly.

"She'll know..".she muttered, reassuring him as he continued to mourn for Natasha. They stood still.

"They both do".
