Emma was sitting on the sand in her bikini.
"Hey." Sarah greeted her.
"Took you long enough. So are you ready for a swim?" Emma asked.
"Yeah, we had to wait for Libby. She had plans with some guy called Beau." Martha said.
"I totally forgot we were meeting here! You were mean't to text me." I laughed.
Beau came running to them. Sarah moaned.
"Are you sure I can't come?" he asked.
"Yes!" Martha snapped.
Beau turned around and walked back up the beach. The girls dived into the water. Beau turned around.
"Guys! Where did you go?" Beau called. He took his shirt off and dived into the water. Emma and I were swimming. We had transformed into mermaids.
"Oh my god!" Beau gasped. He had seen my face and a flash of orange. Beau jumped out of the water and ran back to the cafe.
"Luke! Come here now!" Beau yelled.
"What's the hurry?" Luke asked.
"That girl that I was talking to before, I think she's an alien or something!" Beau panted.
Louis, my good friend who also worked at the cafe came over to sort the problem out.
"What's going on here?" he asked. Louis and I use to date but we broke up because he was worried that people would find out that I was a mermaid.
"Oh, nothing. We were just leaving," Beau lied.
Emma and I came through the entrance.
"Libby! Can I talk to you, privately?" Beau asked.
"Yeah, sure," I smiled and went outside with him.
"When you were swimming, I saw something orange, like attached to you." Beau said.
I laughed. "Orange? Beau, you must be getting old," I joked.
Beau shook his head. "I saw something!"
"You're crazy! I have no idea what you're talking about!" I yelled.
"You're lieing to me! You know something! You can trust me, I won't tell anyone," Beau begged.
I shook my head. "No, I can't."
