Oh how joyous is the winter season!
A time for cheer, glee, and spirits to dominate the minds of Hogwarts students, eager for the holidays to begin.
And of course, for those few comedic students, such as Fred and George Weasley, to develop festive pranks and gags with every intention of pulling their plots on unsuspecting victims.
Every year, Draco had managed to cleverly avoid all commonly overpopulated areas of the school when the Weasley twins first showed signs of plotting.
Though Draco would not fancy admitting so, he very much enjoyed the jokers of the Weasley clan.
They were quite entertaining and rather amusing. They had a talent that Draco guiltily wished they would pursue after Hogwarts.
So when Draco walked down the narrow hallway leading to the kitchens, in hopes of avoiding the Great Hall and the Weasley twins gags, he did not expect to stop in his tracks, much to his brain's dismay.
Draco gulped, not daring to tilt his head up. He knew what was to happen next.
The Weasley twins had developed a new gag this Christmas.
They had managed to cleverly promote the average mistletoe hung in the castle during the holidays.
Those who had strong feelings for each other, well or loathing, were to be trapped together under the mistletoe if one were to be unfortunate enough to find themselves under a sprout. The only and obvious way to break the spell is to snog the person one is unfortunate enough to get stuck with.
Draco knew this meant he'd waste his first kiss. As cliche as one would think, Draco wanted it to be with someone he cared about. He knew there was no one in Hogwarts he fancied.
Draco could only hope it wouldn't be wasted on blubbering Potter.

On this particular evening, Hermione Granger was exiting the kitchens after yet another failed S.P.E.W. gathering had commenced. Once again, only Dobby had showed.
Sighing heavily, Hermione made her way slowly down the narrow hall, heavy box filled to the brim with S.P.E.W. badges in hand.
At least she had managed to consume a decent meal. This way she could make her way up to the common room without having to tread carefully in fear of landing herself in one of the twins gags.
Smiling at her small accomplishment, Hermione looked up to see a very panic-stricken Draco Malfoy.
Hermione frowned, trying to place what was wrong with him.
When she looked round thoroughly and realized what was troubling him, it was too late.
"Merlin, Granger!" She heard an anguished voice yell close to her ear.
She shivered and tried to step back. The box filled with her S.P.E.W. badges had slipped from her fingers and now spread all over the narrow hallway.
Instead of taking a step away from the angered voice, her body had flung her back into a rather warm wall.
"Granger, stop moving!"
Hermione looked up just in time to meet piercing grey eyes.
Malfoy.
"That would be my name, Granger." Draco looked annoyed.
Hermione narrowed her eyes, trying her hardest not to clock him in his pointed nose...again.
They both knew what this meant, they had to snog. There was absolutely no way of getting out of it, unfortunately.
So after Malfoy stood his ground for another five minutes, Hermione grabbed the front of his stupidly expensive Slytherin robes, and pulled his face close to hers.
"I know you would rather eat something slimy than touch a mudblood, but Malfoy, you don't have a choice. I don't have a choice. So stop being a stuck up pureblood for one second and kiss me so we can get away from each other and never speak of this again."
Malfoy gulped, his Adams apple bobbing.
Grabbing the front of her robes, Draco let their lips meet.
No sense could be made anymore. For a split second, both forgot who the other was and just snogged them. Malfoy's lips were soft, but slightly aggressive against Hermione's own. Granger's lips were slightly chapped, but gentle against Draco's own.
Eventually, hands crept into hair and bodies were pressed very firmly against each other.
Tongues breached mouths and danced tangos. Snogging became so desperate, that neither could breathe, neither wanted to either.
Finally, as vision began to lighten with suffocation, the pair parted.
Draco had to steady himself before he looked weak in front of Granger.
Sneering at her beautifully flushed face, Draco replied to her former statement.
"I don't care about blood status anymore. And secondly, I hesitated so long because unlike you impulsive Gryfindors, I wanted my first kiss to hold importance and not be a spur of the moment occurrence."
When Granger merely hummed in recognition, Draco grabbed his bag and continued his way to the Slytherin dorms.
Hermione blinked when Malfoy was gone.
As she made her way to the common room of Gryffindor tower, Hermione found herself smiling.
"I took his first kiss."
Little did she know a certain platinum blonde was whispering the same thing to himself in another part of the castle of Hogwarts.
