"There Is No Such Thing
As Too Cliché"

---

But I never experienced anything like this — a first for me.

It all started the moment I wake up this morning. Typical of a weekend, I didn't set my alarm clock. I cherished my weekends because I get to sleep in late — no rushing to go to school, no anxiety whether or not I have forgotten an assignment, just a normal, typical, hectic life of a student.

I remembered that I was dreaming that same dream I had for I didn't know how long. Maybe it started when I was a silly girl dreaming of princes and tiaras.

Who the heck knew!

But lately, it was happening more and more — to my utter annoyance — when I was not in control of what's happening to me in my sleep. But I digressed.

As I was dreaming 'the dream,' someone banged on our room door. I woke up with a start and found Seri still asleep on the other bed despite the noise. Then, I heard it again. Someone was banging on our door as if it was a matter of life and death.

"Rebel! Seri! Open the door! Hurry!" It was Georgia. She loved sleeping in so if she was banging the door, it must be important.

"Okay, okay. Just a minute!" I answered.

"Hurry! The apartment is on fire!"

"What! No!"

I immediately turned to Seri to wake her up. And in a matter of minutes, the five of us were outside our apartment alongside with our neighbors.

"Nice PJs!" I heard someone said.

"Huh?!" I looked at myself and found that in my hurry, I was not able to put my pants on — there I was in my cami and boxy shorts glory.

"Oh my God!" I immediately tried to cover myself up.

"Here, take my robe." My neighbor said.

"Uh, thanks?" He took off his robe leaving him top less and in a boxer's short.

"My eyes are up here." He said as he smirked.

F*ck! I was caught. "I didn't see anything, I swear!"

"I didn't say I minded, y'know." He teased.

"R-right."

"Okay. My job's done here."

"What is that?"

"To make you blush. I won the bet." He bragged.

"Why, you...!" I raised my hand to slap him but he grabbed my wrist.

"Unhand me, you jerk!"

"When I'm ready. Oh, by the way..."

"What?!" I tried to pry his fingers off my wrist but instead, I fell in his arms. He pulled me closer as he whispered in my ear, "You can return my robe in our apartment, door 3. Look for Rob. Ciao!"

And then he released me and left.

"Aaarrrggghhh!" I yelled and stomped my feet like a kid.

"Don't get mad, beautiful." I heard him shout while his friends laughed. They were lounging by the door at their side of the triplex.

I shouted my reply, "I don't get mad pretty boy!"

"Not from here where I can see you." He yelled back.

I raised my eyebrow and smirked. I turned around making sure I swayed my hips to get his attention and went back inside our apartment.

I get even.
