Hogwarts Love Triangle

Chapter 2: Hogwarts

Loren POV
We arrived on platform 9 3/4, on September 1st, I was so excited to see my great great grandpapi and make lots of new friends at Hogwarts. I was thinking I would be sorted into Hufflepuff and was scared because I didn't want my mom or grandpapi treating me differently because of where I was sorted.

"Hey mum," I said fearfully, "Would you still love me if I was sorted into Hufflepuff?"

"Of course honey, I will love you no matter where your sorted," she replied as she gave me hug. Just then the whistle, signaling the train is leaving soon, went off and we said our goodbyes as I boarded the train.

~~~On the Train~~~

Draco POV

As I walked down the train looking for an empty compartment, I found Loren sitting by herself looking off at the pastures we past. I stood and admired her until I built up courage to open the compartment door. 

"Hey can I sit with you?" I asked as I looked nervously at her.

"Why, Draco Malfoy can't find any of his fancy friends and has to sit with a commoner," she smirked.

"You should be honored I was asking a commoner such as yourself to sit with me," I teased her while sitting down.

"Your such a goof," she laughed 

~~~At Hogwarts~~~

Loren POV

While we were waiting to go across the lake we found Draco's friends, Crabbe and Goyle, and we all got into a boat to ride across the river. The ride was the most magnificent thing I have ever seen, you see Hogwarts lit up by hundreds of lights looking like a real life princess castle. 

"You cold?" Draco asked from next to me as I shivered.

"Just a little," I replied and he scooted closer warming me up from the chilly night air. "Thanks," I told him with a smile.

"Anytime," he smiled back at me and we looked back up at the castle. We soon arrived at the castle steps and Draco helped me out of the boat and all of the first years climbed up the steps. When we entered what I'm guessing was the entry hall. 

"Welcome first years, I am Professor McGonagall. In a few moments we will have the beginning of the year feast, but before we do so we must sort into your houses. Headmaster Dumbledore isn't quite ready for the lot of you, I will be back soon so you all can be sorted," and with that she disappeared into the dining hall. Soon I spotted Harry and was going to go say hello, but Draco saw him first and already went say something, so I decided to wait until they were done talking. Professor McGonagall soon came back and told us they were ready for us and we walked into the dining hall. In front of everyone was a stool and a battered looking hat. All of sudden it grew a mouth and began to sing

"I've done this job for centuries. On every student's head I've sat. Of thoughts I take inventories. For I'm the famous Sorting Hat. I've sorted high, I've sorted low, I've done the job through thick and thin. So put me on and you will know, Which house you should be in..."

After he finished his song Mcgonagall began listing off names and they would go up and he would choose what house your supposed to be in. I didn't pay much attention until she called Harry's name and he sat on the stool and the hat was placed on his head the hat began conversing with Harry I couldn't understand what the hat or Harry was saying, but soon enough the sorting hat yelled, "GRYFINNDOR." We all cheered loudly as he walked over to his house table. I was next up and I sat on the stool.

"Ah I see your very smart, brave as well, also cunning, but where to put you. Where could you do great things," the hat said to me. He kept babbling for a minute and he yelled,"SLYTHERIN." I was shocked, I didn't think I was that person, but I guess I was a troublesome child. I walked over to the Slytherin table and sat across from Crabbe and Goyle. After a few more people it was Draco's  turn to be sorted and before the hat even touched his head, the hat yelled, "SLYTHERIN." He was estacic to be in Slytherin like the rest of his family. Soon everyone one was sorted and we began to eat the feast.
I didn't know what to get there was so much to choose from I finally decided on some potatoes and chicken. Soon we were all full from dinner and were led to the dungeon, where our common room was. As the door opened, I saw a huge room with emerald green furniture, silver curtains, huge fireplace, and to staircases to the left and right.
"The girls' dormitory is to the left and down the hall and same with the boys to the right," said out prefect whos name I didn't catch.
We all stumbled into the common taking seats with our friends on the couches. I sat with Draco and we said goodnight to Crabbe and Goyle as they went to bed.
"Are you ready for classes tomorrow?"  Draco aksed.
"Yeah, are you?" I replied.
"They won't be to bad, I mean you might make them worse but who knows," he teased me.
"I'm going to make them worse what about you?" I laughed.
"What do you mean I'm the best person to be around," he laughed.
"Whatever," I said and punched him playfully. We talked for a while longer about random things, around midnight we said goodnight and went to our dorms.
