Chapter 7: Rivals

Loren POV

"What do you want Potter," I spat as he flinched.

"I wanted to apologize," he whispered.

"Oh so you blow up at me because of my choice of friends and want me to forgive you so easily. I don't think so. Are you going to lecture me because I kissed him on the cheek too?" I said angrily.

"NO, I really am sorry and I may think you shouldn't trust him or date him" he said.

"YOU KNOW WHAT POTTER GET THE F**K AWAY FROM ME, I DON'T WANT YOU NEAR ME. I DON'T WANT YOUR NEGATIVITY I CHOOSE MY FRIENDS AND I KNOW HOW TO CHOOSE THEM TRUST ME. I WOULD RATHER HAVE DRACO AS A FRIEND OVER YOU ANY DAY," I yelled and stormed off.

"LOREN WAIT," Harry yelled after me, I just gave him the finger and kept going. I looked back a little later and he looked really hurt, but I don't care maybe he shouldn't try and control my life. I ran to the nearest bathroom and locked myself in a stall and cried. I missed Potions and Transfiguration, but I could care less right now. It was now lunch and I didn't plan to go instead I got my wand and snuck out of the castle and ran to the forbidden forest. My grandpa told me of a tree house just a little of the way in, I could go to and be alone if I was upset or anything. Just to send him a note so the teachers weren't worried about me. I sketched him a quick note and used a simple spell to send it to him. I soon got a response,

Hey Loren,

I will excuse from classes today as long as you promise to meet me for tea after dinner. I would like to know what has made you upset when you meet me for tea. See you then.

Love, Grandpa

I decided it would be easier to let him know what happened with the Vengeeo spell and to tell him I'll be there for tea and to bring some food since I don't plan on going to dinner. I whispered the spell and first sent my confirmation for tea and to bring food then sent my two memories of Harry. Grandpa sent a mental message back, "Don't be upset, I'm sure Harry thinks he's doing what's best for you. He also seemed upset when you yelled at him. I know it doesn't seem like it for you but he is upset and thinks he's helping you. See you later." I built a fire in the fireplace and began to read a muggle book off the shelf called, "The Host," I sat on beanbag chair in front of the fire and just read the book, getting lost in the world of the book.

It's been a hour or two since lunch and got a message from Draco, "Lor where are you!? I have looked for you everywhere, you haven't shown to any classes and Pansy says your not in the dorm!" OH NO, 'I forgot to tell Draco I wouldn't be in class, I mentally slap myself before responding. "Sorry Draco I totally forgot to tell you I got excused for classes, meet me near the forbidden forest, and I'll explain everything," I raced down the ladder and ran to the edge of the forbidden forest I saw Draco standing against a tree, I grabbed his arm and pulled him into the forest before anyone could see us.

"What the hell!?" He yelled as we stopped.

"SHHHH, your gonna get us in trouble!" I whisper-yelled.

"I'M!? going to get us in trouble, you dragged us into the forest which let me remind is forbidden for STUDENTS!" He exclaimed.

"Yeah, yeah I know but there's a treehouse out here my grandpa told me about and said I could go to whenever I need to." I replied

"Yeah you can what about me? I'm not you if I get caught my dad will kill me." He explained.

"It's okay I'll say it's my fault, and I will die instead of you. Deal?" I laughed.

"Not gonna happen I don't want you to die," he said.

"Awe, does the Malfoy boy care about me?" I teased, "I feel so special."

"So what if I did," he responded nervously, "I mean your one of the people I can be myself around without you judging me for not hating everyone who isn't a pureblood. So yeah I care about you."

I didn't respond to this, instead I just grabbed his hand and led him to the tree house. We walked in silence, the only sound was the leaves crunching beneath our feet. After we got to the tree house I let go of his hand and climbed up. He stayed at the bottom looking like he wasn't going to come with me.

"Come on Dray," I said, "what's taking so long?"

He snapped out of his daze, "Sorry Lor didn't realize we were here," he answered as he climbed up the ladder.

Draco POV

As we walked to the secret tree house in the forbidden forest she held my hand the entire way. I felt like it was just her and I and I wish it could stay like that forever. No potter boy, no dad that hates everyone who isn't pureblood, just me and her forever. I know I shouldn't feel like this because she is a Dumbledore, but she is so nice to me and likes the real me not the one I pretend to be. While we walked I  couldn't help stealing glances at her admiring her beauty and her smile when she saw some of the magical creatures that lived here in the forest. I wish I wasn't a Malfoy so we could be together, but we can't and I don't want to be a reason she gets hurt.

"Come on Dray," she said, "what's taking so long?" Snapping me out of my thoughts

"Sorry Lor didn't realize we were here," I answered as I climbed up the ladder. Once I arrived at the top I was tackled in a hug. "What was that for?" I laughed hugging her back.

"To remind that I will always be by your side and because for a second i thought you were going to leave me here by myself all day," she smiled.

"I would never leave you here alone. Anyway why did you come out here in the first place?" I responded.

"More Potter drama, I'm sick of him trying to control what I do. He can't just make me do whatever because he's the chosen one. God, he is so annoying," she answered plopping down on the couch.

"Well let's forget about him for the day, for now it's just me and you," I smiled, "What do you want to do?"

"Could we just watch movies?" She asked.

"What kind of movies?" I responded.

"Okay don't hate me for this but muggle movies," she answered timidly.

"Why the hell not," I responded, "you can pick a movie and I'll get blankets and snacks."

"Yay," she sang as she gave me a hug and then picked a movie. I got up and found blankets and some treats since she most likely hasn't eaten. I went back to sit on the couch and gave her a blanket while I got under the other. She watched me then set her blanket on the ground.

"Not cold?" I questioned.

"No I am I just wanted to know if we could share one since they are big blankets," she answered.

"Or you wanted to cuddle," I teased her.

"Yeah that to," she laughed.

"Well come on," I lifted up the blanket as she climbed over and played between my legs and laid on my chest. I'm sure she could hear my heart speed up but she didn't seem to mind. We watched the movie and just laid there, she fell asleep half through so I used my wand to put in another movie and I eventually fell asleep too.

So sorry for the really long delay I've been working on a different story and forgot about this one, but this will be my priority the next few weeks.
