~Hello! This is the first story I've done on Wattpad, so don't blame me if it's trashy asf. The photo above is what Scarlett looks like now.~
~Scarlett's POV~
~7th grade, 5th period~"Alright, class! Settle down. I'm not dealing with your unacceptable behavior."
As the rest of my class sat down rather quickly, I was already sitting, caught up in a novel, The Amber Eye. I switched from page to page, touching the crisp, worn down paper.
"Scarlett; Look at me, not the book!"
I shot my head up in confusion, wondering who called my name. Turns out it was Mr. Sterling. "S-Sorry, sir..." I slide the book under my desk and jot down notes.
"Scar, you think you could hang out after school?"
"Sure, Mabe." I whisper.
"Alright, bring your juul, I'll be behind the dumpster." Mabe claims.
I nod my head, while I start jotting down notes while sipping my coffee.
I freeze, again.
Stop; She just wants to use you. Stop trying to be friendly with her. Stop.
The voice in my head keeps coming back. It's giving me a headache. I wonder why--My thoughts got cut off by the bell.
"Aight!! The bell doesn't dismiss you; I do. Sit down, Lei, I see you."
Goddamn, does Mr. Sterling ever shut up?! I can't stand his voice; it's raspy...and just weird.
"Alright, go get your stuff for sixth. If I see any of you skipping, I'm sending you to the office!"
Mabe and I walk out of the classroom; she scurries to her locker while I wait at the water fountain.
"Scarlett!" A voice calls.
God, I hate people using Scarlett.. "Scar" I reply back, looking around to see who called.
"Same thing, Hi!"
"Really isn't." I look over and realize--It's Caden. I hate her so much, she's a transgender freak.
"Oh, you--Hi.." I give her a bored expression, hoping she'd leave.
"Need a partner? Y'know...To walk down the ha--"
I cut her off, "No, I have Mabe."
"You're girlfriend?"
I flinch, "Ew! I'm not lesbian! Lesbians are twats!" I proceed to fake gag.
Caden gave me a disgusted look, "Are you homophobic?"
"Hell yeah! Those people can go to hell!"
She flicks me off, "Fuck you." Caden walked off.
Good, the dyke's gone. Now I don't have to hear her rant about herself.
"Scar! I'm here! You scared off the trans?" Mabe panted.
"Yeah, thank god. Let's go.
