Protect the Fallen

Chapter 5

We made it to the Tower as I ran up the stairs and stood with Steve as Pietro and Wanda stood behind while I pulled down my hood showing my long black hair while my silver eyes narrowed while we walked to where Dad was working with Banner. "I'm gonna say this once," Steve spoke up in a booming voice. Dad looked up at him with a frown as he made a remark at Steve. "How about 'none-ce'?" He says as I yelled out at my father. "Shut it down!" I screamed as he shook his head. "Nope, not gonna happen," He ignores me as I growled and watched as Steve took a step forward. "You don't know what you're doing," He says as Dad walked down to be on the same level as us. "And you do?" Banner asks as I noticed his eyes went to Wanda as I took a step to protect her. "She's not in your head?" He adds as she walked to the side of me as she tries to reason with him. "I know you're angry," She says as Banner scoffed. "We're way past that. I could choke the life out of you and never change a shade," He threatened as I stared at him with a growl coming from my throat. "Banner, after everything that's hap-" I spoke up as my father cut me off as I looked at him with anger while I heard Wanda speak up. "It's nothing compared to what's coming!" Stark explains while Wanda spoke over him. "You don't know what's in there," She warns him. "This isn't a game!" Steve says as I looked at Pietro who was very quiet as he rolled his eyes and looked at me before smirking and running around while unplugging everything before stopping and dropping the cables down. "No, no. Go on. You were saying?" He says as I heard a gunshot as a bullet went up from the floor before the boy fell through. I gasped as Wanda called her brother's name. "Pietro!"

I ran over to see Barton standing over him as he smirked. "What? You didn't see that coming?" He asked as I looked at them both before looking back at my father. "I'm rerouting the upload," Stark says as Steve growled and threw his shield as it started bouncing around the place as I see Dad summon his metal glove and hit Steve as I gasped and growled. I then looked behind me to see Banner grabbing Wanda from behind  "Go ahead, piss me off," I turned to the Doctor and started to growl as I stood on all fours as Banner stared at me on all fours while I started to snarl at him. I then jumped when Barton tried to go after me as I gripped his arm with teeth and bit onto him as he tried to hurt me thinking I was an intruder, but when he threw me down hard as I whimpered loudly and turned human. No longer the animal I was. I heard the breaking of glass as my vision started to blur while watching the hostility from everyone. Suddenly everyone stopped as I looked up to see Thor now in the room standing on The Cradle. "Wait!" Banner shouted as Thor summoned thunder from his hammer which blinded everyone in the room as I turned my sore neck away from the light while black feather wings wrapped around me to shield the light even more. Suddenly it stopped as I stood up and pulled my wings back and stared at the Cradle before there was a large explosion and Thor was thrown back as I brought up my hands to block the debris that was probably gonna come out of it. Suddenly a man came out of the box and looked like he painted red and had gold lines around his body as I backed away a little. Everyone stared in shock by the man while I was scared of the man. He looked around us before his eyes landed on Thor as he launched himself at the God. But he was thrown out the glass room and into the living room as he stopped himself from going out the window. Everyone ran over to the living room as I stood close to the twins as Thor held out his hand to halt all of us. After a few minutes of hovering in the same spot, he turned to us slowly while a suit formed on his body as I took a step forward. Thor put his hammer on the table and walked over to the figure who floated down to stand next to the god before he spoke. "I am sorry. That was...odd," He says in a quiet but gentle voice as I heard Jarvis's voice in him. "Thank you," He then sighed as a golden cape was configuring down his back.

"Thor. You helped create this?" Steve asked as I tilted my head as my necklace started to glow. Since I had traveled, it hadn't glowed at all. I touched it and looked down at it before pushing it under my clothing. "I've had a vision. A whirlpool that sucks in all hope of life, and at its center is that" Thor says as I took another step forward this time staring at the stone on the forehead. "What? The gem?" Steve asked as I answered him. "It's the Mind Stone," I answered as Thor turns to me. "How?" He looked at me in shock as I looked at the newcomer with narrowed eyes. "I had a lot of time to read on my own," I told him with a smirk. "What do you know about it?" Steve asked I looked at Thor to see if he would accept me to explain it. He shook his head as I bowed my head and pulled back. "It's one of the six Infinity Stones. The greatest power in the universe, unparalleled in its destructive capabilities," Thor explained as I stood with my hands behind my back. "Then why would you bring-" Steve starts to ask but Thor cut him off. "Because Stark is right," He answers as Banner looks at everyone finally realizing what was going on. "Ohh, It's definitely the end times," He says as Thor started to speak again. "The Avengers cannot defeat Ultron," He says as the unknown man finally spoke once again. "Not alone," He says as I narrowed my eyes questioning why he sounded like Jarvis. "Why does your Vision sound like Jarvis?" I asked the two who I knew were walking on him as Dad looked at me and then to my neck as he saw the glow of the stone. "We reconfigured Jarvis's matrix...to create something new," Dad answers as I walked down the steps and watched the unknown man looked at everyone. "I think I've had my fill of new," Steve says as I touched his arm and nodded as I had to agree with him. "You think I'm a child of Ultron," The man says as Steve tilts his head to question him. "You're not?" He says in disbelief. "I'm not Ultron. I am not Jarvis. I am..." He then paused like he was searching for the answer into his mind as I walked around while he spoke. "I am," He sounded like a wise man who spoke in cryptic messages. "I looked in your head and saw annihilation," Wanda spoke up as her brother stood back as I looked at him as he gave me a small smile before going back to his focus which was his sister.
