Chapter 8. Freddy And The Gang

It was very cramped in the time machine; needing to fit eleven people in and all. Leon was kind of nervous because his cheek was pushed up against Claire's. Claire could see him sweating, and out of the corner of her eye, she saw Sherry smirking.
"We have arrived at our destination," T said. Leon gave a sigh of relief, before being the first to jump out of the time machine. They were in the same alleyway they had been in before. Everyone else jumped out of T, observing the alleyway. It was slightly different; there were drawings on the walls, of a bear, a rabbit, a chicken and a fox.

Leon stepped out of the alleyway. Raccoon City a year before the accident. Maybe they could stop it before it happened... but then he never would have met Claire... He shook the thoughts out of his mind and looked across the road. There was a boarded up building, with the sign 'Fredbear's Family Diner' on it, and right next door was a new building. The sign on top read, 'Freddy Fazbear's Pizza'. Leon gestured for the rest of the group to follow him. They walked under the night sky, entering the pizzeria. It had no one in it; duh, it was almost 12 o'clock at night!

The group searched the area, only to notice three animatronics on stage. A bear, a rabbit and a chicken. Like from the drawing... but where was the fox? That was when a man entered the pizzeria. He had a blue uniform on, his name tag reading, 'Michael Schmidt'.
"Oh thank god, other employees..." Mike said, observing the group. Leon looked at the man in shock.
"What's going on...?" Leon asked.
"This is my fifth night on the job with these things. I'm happy Afton hired another night guard, I need a break." 'These things?' Leon thought, before he noticed the man's uniform was pulled over him.

He looked funny in the night guard's outfit, and some in the group had to stifle a laugh, including X, Claire and Sherry. He was pushed into an office with doors on either side. Mike then explained to him what to do, and then just as 12am rolled in, the man pushed Leon's friends outside. He heard one of the girls of the group cry out, "But he's our friend, we're in this together!" Leon thought it might have been Claire. The sound of a door slamming was heard from the front of the building. Leon picked up the monitor and began scanning the area. When he looked back at the stage, two of the animatronics were missing. Mike had told him their names, so he knew Bonnie and Chica had disappeared... but how? And where?

He searched the cameras and discovered a 'Pirate Cove', where there was a fox peeking out of the curtains. Of course, there he was. Foxy. Leon looked back at the stage only to find the bear, Freddy Fazbear, had departed. He heard a laugh to his side, so he put the camera down and shone the light in the hallway. Right there was Freddy, staring at him. Leon quickly shut the door, giving a yelp of fright. He looked around, at the other door, the floor and the roof. That's when he noticed a camera in the corner of the roof.

Claire had a laptop on her lap, ten others crowding over her shoulder (Mike was there, too). Marcus had hacked into one of the pizzeria cameras, the one in the corner of the roof of the office. Connor was kneeling next her, trying to hack into the intercom so Leon could hear them. They could hear him, so they heard his yelp of fear. They all watched as he shut the door, and began scanning the room. He looked up at the camera, just as Connor got to the intercom.

"Hello? Hello hello? Can you hear me?" Claire said, squirming around on the box she sat on. The group had relocated to the alleyway.
"Yeah, is that you, Claire?" Leon replied through the screen.
"Yes, it's me. We're here with you technically, ok?" Leon nodded at the camera and turned away, continuing with the shift. It was now 4am, and Claire knew he had 20% left of power. She stared at the screen, warning him if there were animatronics on either side of him. It was almost 6am, when the power cut. Dang, 0%. Claire watched as Leon stood up, horrified as Freddy's face flashed with light in the dark doorway. Claire heard the song Freddy was playing, and knew straight away it was 'Carmen'. Then everything went even darker. She could just see Leon's outline.
