Warnings: Character death. Suicide
POV: Third PersonIt was a normal day for Patton. Or, so he thought. He had just finished mixing up some cookie dough, when Logan walked in through the door. "Hey, Kiddo!" Patton waved, and Logan waved back "Salutations, Patton. Those look like some delicious cookie dough. May I try some?" Patton smiled more," Sure! Just don't eat too much. I need plenty of cookies for the party!" Logan knew of the party. It was a party he and the others had once every few months to celebrate their friendship and whatnot. Patton looked away and then back to Logan, "Would you mind putting the cookies in the oven for me? I still need to clean, decorate, get a shower get dressed, get the-" "Yes, I can do that Patton." The two smiled at eachother, and Patton ran off to do the many things he needed to do to get ready for the party.
A couple of hours later, Patton, Logan, and Roman waited for Virgil to arrive back. When Virgil stepped into the door, the party started. It wasn't much. Just enough for them to relax and have a little fun. They listened to music, sang, dance, talked, played board games, played a few rounds of video games, and ended it with watching a movie and eating some food.
After everyone had eaten, Logan had dashed to the kitchen. When he returned, he was holding the plate of cookies. "Wow, Logan" Patton smiled wide, "I have never seen you so excited for cookies!" Logan shrugged, smiled, and handed everyone a few cookies. Patton, for oncs, didn't want any cookies though. They all sat and watched the movie. However, for them, watching movies can go from one movie to a movie marathon very quickly. They stayed up all night, until about four in the morning. Patton and Logan were still wide awake. Patton yawned, "I guess we should wake them up. They can't just sleep in the living room all night." Virgil had half of his body on the couch, and the other half on the floor. Roman was asleep on the floor, with a book that he decided to use as a pillow.
Logan smiled, but this smile was different. It was a... smirk? Something wasn't right. "Yes... I suppose we should." Patton didn't notice his strange behaviour, and simply walked up to the couch and poked Virgil,"Hey Virgil. Time to wake up." He continued to poke him, until he started shaking him by his shoulders," V-virgil. Wake up. I swear, if this is some sort of prank or something you will regret doing it. Wake up." Patton was practically panicking. Patton moved his hands from Virgil's shoulders to his chest. "Oh my god.' Patton pulled away. There was barely a heartbeat. Patton rushed over to Roman, almost screaming at him, "Roman wake up. Something's wrong with Virgil. Oh no. Pleaee wake up." He, once again, moved his hands to the chest. Nothing. Patton pulled back, and reached in his pocket for his cell phone. It wasn't there. "L-logan. Help me find my phone. Maybe Virgil or Roman has theirs?" He searched their pockets. Nothing. Patton was panicking. He searched in the same places even thoufh he knew nothing was there. He looked to Logan, who he expected to be on hands and knees helping. But he wasn't. He stood smirking. He suddenly pulled four phones out of his pockets. Patton went to grab them, but Logan threw them to the floor, and smashed them to pieces by throwing a nearby pan at them. "Logan why would you do tha-!" Patton stopped. Suddenly he looked up in fear. "This is your fault, isn't it?" Logan nodded. "Patton. You are very, how should I say, idiotic and trusting. Leaving me alone with the cookies. Weren't you a tiny bit suspicious when I all of a sudden just loved cookies?" Patton moved back. He was terrified. But one was on his mind. Why wasn't he dead? Why wasn't Logan dead? Logan reached in his pocket.
"Now, I know you want to know why I did it. And I might as well give you that information because, why not?" Logan reached in his pocket and pulled a shiny object out of his pocket. "You see, I didn't kill you, because you didn't want to die, I assume. However, for the rest of your life you will suffer with this memory. It will haunt you for the rest of your life. But I had more than that to go on other than you don't want to die. Virgil and Roman's deaths? They wanted it. They practically begged me for it. Patton, the reason they came tonight was so you could have one last good memory that was about them. They knew their death would haunt you forever. They knew the risk of sending you into the same black hole that swallowed them. That made them do this. But they couldn't stand it any longer. Patton, please just, don't do what we did. Please. I am an evil being for what I did. But they asked for it. What I did sure looks like murder, I know. The smirks. The phones. It was all set up. I didn't know how to deal with my pain, so those smirks were just my fake smiles." Logan stepped back from Patton. Patton was in tears. " In their rooms you will find their letters to you. They loved you Patton. And I love you. Know this. Keep this. Remember this. And know this information. Life is but a dream. For some it is the dreams of fantasy and fairy tale. For others it is a nightmare in which some would rather die then live through it. Good bye Patton. I love you." He walked into the other room. Patton knew what Logan would do next. He didn't want to hear it. He covered his ears and closed his eyes. He told himself, ' This isn't happening. It's just a dream. OPEN YOUR EYES.'
And with that, Patton awoke from his sleep.
Heeey. That was interesting to write. Initially Logan was just supposed to be evil and stuffs, but uh, yeah. It got even darker real quick. It too a big left turn. I didn't mean for it too, but hey. I saw the chance to make this super sad, and so I did. I haven't really had any angsty stories in this yet anyways sooo... yeah. Thanks for reading. Bye.
This was difficult for me to write. However, remember.
It was but a dream.Or was it?
