Warnings: Bullying

Tap, tap, tap. The rhythmic pattern of people tapping their pencils on their desk, waiting for the lunch bell to ring. I glance up at the clock, watching it tick slowly. A minute later, the bell rings. Students rush out of class, flooding out into the crowded hallways. I get to my locker, and try to open it. Several attempts later, I decide I might as well take my things with me. Before I can leave, however, I am interrupted by a loud slam on my locker. "Hello... Patton." The cause of the slam is a boy. He is about three inches taller than me, and he is wearing a dark black jacket with a yellow t-shirt. I definitly recgonize him. He is Deciet, or that is what everyone calls him anyways. What does he want with me? I suppose there is no purpose in wondering anymore, seeing as he only wants to be around me for one purpose. He looks me in the eyes and gives a slight smirk. "Locker troubles?" "Um... Yes actually." I shift in place. He shoves me against the locker. "Maybe I can help." He gives me a terrible look before throwing me onto the ground. I land on the corner of my book, and attempt to not let out a squeal of pain. He stares at me, but looks away. After I have managed to get up, I look to see an open locker, with no Deciet to be found. I rub my arm in pain as I place my things in the locker. I head to lunch.

The cafeteria is full of people. I walk over to a table, and make sure it is the right one before setting down my jacket on a seat. (Jacket is light gray like his cardigan) Scattered on the seats is some book about space, a black and purple hoodie, and a notebook with a crown and multiple stickers. Yep, definitly the right table. I smile, and go to get my lunch.

Arriving at the table,  I realize that all my friends have beaten me to the table. I sit in my seat, next to Virgil and Logan. "Jeez dude, you took forever!" " Hush Virgil. I am sure he has a reasonable explanation for why he is late. Right, Patton? " I look up to Logan and nod,"Yes of course." A few seconds later Logan speaks again,"Are you going to tell us?"I rub my arm, and hide the bruise that has started to form, along with the other exitsing ones." My locker wasn't opening, so I had to stand there trying to get it open for forever." Logan nods, showing that he will accept that claim.

Everyone continues to eat, making the occasional joke or random comment here and there.  Eventually, almost everyone finishes up and heads outisde except for Virgil and me.  I get up to dump my tray, when I am stopped by Virgil. " Yes?"
"Sit." I sit down. " What's up?" He doesn't respond. He instead grabs my arm and yanks it so he can see it. "Locker troubles? What did you do, ram into it until it opened? Tell me what happened." I sigh,  realizing that I either tell him now, or be pestered for the next week about it. " It's this kid. Deciet. He's been bullying me for about a month now." Virgil nods slightly, asking for me to proceed."Everytime it's some way different. It started out with accidentally knocking me into the lockers one day, to nearly throwing a chair at my face the next. And the thing is, he never stops" I roll my sleeves and one of my pant legs up to reveal a number of bruises, some smaller, some larger. Virgil takes a look at the bruises, and then to me. I can feel tears start to form in my eyes, but encourage myself to stay strong. Virgil grabs my hand and holds it. He looks me in the eyes," It's okay to cry." and with that, the tears come streaming down my face. Virgil leans in for a hug, and I gladly accept it. We get a few wierd looks, but I honestly don't care. I needed someone to be there,  and now someone is.
A teacher eventually spots us, and forces us outside. Virgil scoffs, "Freaking jerk." I smile slightly, still sniffling.
Not long after we just got outside, it's time to go in. I go to my locker, and I again take several tries to get it open. It finally opens though. I spot Virgil coming from down the hall. Our next hour is down the same hall so we walk together. Before we part, Virgil looks to me. " Are you gonna be okay?" "Yeah, I think so." He smiles,    " Well, just know that I am here for you if you need me, at anytime." He starts to walk into his classroom, "I'll see you after school. Bye." I wave, and get to my next class. This bully is bad, but I think with Virgil I'll be able to make it through.

Heeey. This chapter was a bit longer then my other chapters, and I feel like it was set up a little messier  than the others, like it just doesn't flow as well. I have had this idea for a couple of days, so I decided to just get it written and done. Whether it makes sense, I have no idea, but I hope you enjoyed either way. Bye.:)
