A/N: A short chapter to start with as there isn't much recorded on clothing this early on.
——————————————————————————————

7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves..... 21 The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them. Genesis 3:7,21

When the world was first created, humans were naked and 'were not ashamed of their nakedness' (Genesis 2:25) It wasn't until both Adam and Eve ate from the fruit that God had forbidden them to eat that they became ashamed and wanted to cover it up. Adam and Eve grabbed fig leaves and made loincloth for them selves. (Genesis 3:7)

Later on, when God was walking in the garden, he called to them and when he saw the were wearing clothes, he asked them what they had done. "And the Lord God made for Adam and for his wife garments of skins and clothed them." (Genesis 3:21)

A/N:
This is the earliest recorded instance of people wearing clothing. It took me a while to find this but here is it!
It also took me a while to gather up the courage to use the Bible as a historical source but here are my reasons for doing so:
1. Most of the books of the Bible were written less than 100 years after they happened
2. The Bible has over 30,000 copies all of which are still almost identical to the earliest recorded Bible (the Dead Sea scrolls) whereas other books like ones written by Caesar (from a similar time) have only 10 copies
