Chapter 1: The New Girl.

"JESSICA!" my mum yells from the kitchen. "Get ready for school!"
I burry my head into my pillow. "Mm hmm, just five more minutes." I whisper, mainly to myself.
*Half an hour later*
I feel my eyes shoot open.
I take a short glance at the alarm clock beside my bed...
"Oh shit!" I scream as I leap out of bed. "I’m going to miss the bus!"
I run to my neatly piled clothes on top of my desk and throw off my pizza stained t-shirt while putting on some faded black skinny jeans and a plain grey hoodie.
Then I chuck on some socks and my favourite pair of sneakers. I sprint outside to the bus stop.
Damn it,I forgot to brush my teeth.
I only just make it to the bus stop where all the other kids are waiting. The bus slowly pulls in and we all hop in it.
"Can I sit here please?" I ask a nerdy looking guy.
He has brown hair and has a slight tan with black glasses on.
"Erm.. Yeah sure" he replies while moving his bag on top of his lap so I can sit in the seat next to him. He nervously adjusts his glasses.
"What's your name?" he asks.
"Jessica, I just moved here from Australia and I.." before I can say anything else he cuts in.
"YOUR AUSTRALIAN?! WOW!" he exclaims. I laugh in response.
"Do you ride kangaroos?" he asks clearly interested.
"What? No! We ride in cars like normal people."
Is he really that dumb?
"Say 'g'day mate'" he smirks.
I do as he asks
"Erm.. Uhh.. G'day mate"
Why is he asking me to do this?
He clutches his stomach and laughs. I join in.
"Nice- Nice-Nice accent you got there." he stutters while laughing.
"Right back at 'cha."
The bus pulls up at my new school. All the students jump off the bus.
I walk towards the massive gates of the school.
I stand in shock.
"Whoa..." I whisper.
"I know right." a voice beside me says.
I turn to see the boy standing next to me.
I jump a little.
"Phew, it’s just you." I say
"Damn right it is." he winks.
"Aye, I forgot to ask your name"
"Nathan." he smiles
"Hmm.."
"I could show you around the school if you'd like." he offers
"Oh. Okay, thanks."
I guess I just made a new friend.
As we walk in the school gates together and I realise everyone is staring at us.
