I'll explain you why.
She wears contact lenses so that she can avoid accidentally freezing people when they look at her unusual golden eyes.
If Saiki can petrify people with his glance, she can freeze people when they look at her eyes.
Cryokinesis is her strong point. A power which Saiki Kusuo does not have. However, Kaori doesn't have pyrokinesis as well-
