Pick me up - episode 4

Episode 4, Sanem is being treated unfairly by Deren, her parents' shop was ''stolen'' by Shakal and she feels under pressure by Can; overall, she is quite upset. She is waiting for the bus outside the office when Can drives by.

Sanem was still going through the events of the past 24 hours, this damn model Arzu who had treated her like a slave, just like Deren; Can who for some reason kept challenging her sanity and overall balance and her parents' shop, their life work was lost forever. She was managing to contain the tears, she was angrier than sad and felt so powerless and weak, it was exhausting.

He drove past the bus stop on his way out of the office, it was late and dark already, it had been a long day. He saw her from the corner of his eye, he could never miss the sight of her. He hit the break without a second thought and drove a few meters back.

She heard a car horn and looked at the road,

S: ''Can bey?!''

C: ''Sanem, come in, I'll take you home.''

She didn't want to have any kind of conversation with him right now, ''no that's fine Can Bey, my bus will be here in a minute.''

He waived at her to join him, ''Sanem, get into the car please.''

S: ''really no thank you Can Bey, just go on...'' the bus was parking behind him.

C: ''Sanem either you get in now or I come out and put you in the car!''

She rolled her eyes and finally gave in, ''fine!'' she opened the car, sat and fastened her seat belt.

They remained silent for a few minutes, eyeing each other.

C: ''you alright?''

S: ''no... but I don't want to talk about it.''

C: ''about what?''

S: ''about work, you want to talk about work, right?''

C: ''yes work...'' he paused, ''we can talk about something else?''

S: ''other than work?''

C: ''yes other than work.''

S: ''no.''

Can dropped his head, ''ok fine.''

S: ''great thank you.''

They eyed each other again and settled into a heavy silence.

It had not been more than 3 minutes that Sanem lost it, ''what makes you think you can all talk to me like that?!!'' she shouted, ''because I am not as educated or experienced as you all are? I am not an idiot you know?!''

He was somewhat shocked with her outburst and unable to interrupt her rant.

S: ''you all pretend I don't notice or feel anything but I am fed up with being hurt and disrespected!'' she crossed her arms and looked outside the window as if she had been turned off.

Can parked on the side of the road, she seemed volatile and he preferred to have this conversation when the car was stopped.

S: ''what are you doing now?'' she sighed loudly.

C: ''can you please calm down Sanem?''

S: ''why should I calm down? You asked me if I was alright and I am giving you an answer!''

C: '' Sanem, please... I can't let you say these things ok? I think you are bright, surprising, smart, knowledgeable, beautiful and loads of other wonderful things.'' He stopped and blushed.
